Greddy Spec LS intercooler install question

Quick question for anyone who has installed this kit.

I found this link earlier (http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/30/47/) that shows an install for a similar intercooler, but he doesn't have the metal bumper on his car.

Does anyone have pictures of how much this bumper needs to be cut to fit the intercooler?

I searched around before posting this BTW, the link above was the best help I have found so far :( The instructions included with the kit are pretty terrible.

just measure it yourself, mark it down/cut, and then test fit, and if it doesn't fit cut some more!

With the bumper cut like that, would it even hold up in a crash?

let me find you a picture, i didn't have to cut mine because my intercooler was 9 inches tall. i mean i made it fit.

maybe this will help your, it was sent to me by someone from http://hiprollc.com , they were nice enough to fab me some brackets for my install at a very reasonable price...

Leave the bumper support out, weight reduction!! lol.

The picture above that Grendel posted is exactly the way it should be done to keep your bumper support.

There's a few different ways to do it.. I'm going to end up doing it like the pics above and notch the support. Here are a few more pics to get ya thinkin..

Leave the bumper support out, weight reduction!! lol.

The picture above that Grendel posted is exactly the way it should be done to keep your bumper support.
the only problem with that is your bumper will sag in a few months.

I have the M-spec, I just took the bumper support off.

yea u dont need a bumper support..only if u bump into things going 10 mph or less.any thing more than 30 it will still mess the car up with out without the reinforcement

You wont sag much. If you are smart and use some sort of reinforcement for your bumper.

I simply used ziptie's. Been working fine since.

Cut, fit, cut, fit, cut and fit...no buts and ifs around it. You want your bumper to be as snug as possible anyway to keep the air from going AROUND the FMIC...

I can't make my bumper to sit good , there's a gap between hood and bumper how can I make it flush with the hood
