Im getting rims for my 97 240 but im not sure about the sizing. I want to get 17" Rims but i dont want to roll on 40 profile. Anyone knw if it will rub? And also how wide should i get 17x7.5 or 17x8<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> And i need the width of the tires also. Thanks

Anything wider than 225 (maybe 235 if your lucky) will rub on the front and anything bigger than 275 will rub on the back.  If I were you i would go with 17x7.5 in the front and the 17x8's in the back and some 215 or 225/45-17 on the front and 235 or 245/40-17's on the back.  Or just 225's all the way around.

If you are going to invest on rims...you should buy what fits best..  If you're getting 17's, I suggest you go with
17x8 +27 Front with 225/40/-17
17x9 +35 rear with 245/40/-17
40 profile wont rub. I have 45 on my car and I never rub.

You should be fine with 17x8. That's what i'm looking for, but unfortunately, I've got 4-lug hubs, so I'm probably not going to find them.

I got only 4 lugs also, so ill let u knw if i find anything. And sorry "GQ" i meant if i would rub if i went wif 45's. So 17x8 w/ 225/45/17 in front & 17x9 w/ 245/45/17 in rear would be okay and i wouldnt rub rite???

how can't u find 17x8s for 4 lug?? i see sooooo many more 4 lug rims, alot more than 5 lug.... wow that sucks i didnt think it would be that hard

Huh, care to give me a few links? Also... does anyone know if you can do the 300zx brake swap with 16's, or get any bigger brakes with 16s? I don't want 17's if I don't have to, but I want the option of upgrading brakes.

Yup, it wont rub at all. I have 225/45/17 and I never rub.
