I have tried searching for an answer to my question, but either I am using the wrong key search words or I just can't seem to be able to find it.
Basically, my wheel and tire set up is currently sticking roughly 19mm out past the fenders right now. This is with 275/35/18 tires on a 18x10 ET-9 wheel.
Ideally, I will be using the car for some road racing, so I want as minimal tire stretch as possible. However, if I had to, I wouldn't mind stretching a 255 on there. I would be running a 295 or so in the rear, with lots of room, so I don't want too much of a staggered set up.
Does anyone know how much adding camber will help me? I unfortunately don't remember what the current alignment settings are set at, since the car has been constantly having work done on it for the past year. Is it possible to measure how many mm of clearance each degree of camber gives?
Forgot to mention as well, the fenders are fiberglass, since it is on a widebody, so I can't roll the fenders to get any more room.
Pitch any ideas towards this topic, if you have any.
thanks.
