First off all, my ebrake doesn't have the spring in it, when I want it to stay up I just pull up the button, basically same thing as those of you who have a "drift knob", I should actually be getting one in the mail in a few days.
Well, today, as I pushed the button in, I heard something snap, and now I'm unable to pull the button back up, even with force, so now the handle always falls down.
I'm about to take the ebrake out right now to see if I can spot and hopefully fix the problem.
Has anyone else experienced this, what could be the problem?

yes
happened to me a while back
you gotta take the e brake knob out. Its connected to the shaft that stops the e brake gear every time you pull your e brake up.
might need a new one

Ah I see.
Will I need a new ebrake or just the knob? I guess I'll find out.
I'll go pick one up from a junkyard when it gets warmer. For now I'll have to keep parking in gear, not really a major problem, it's mainly just an annoyance.

Pull the knob/botton, itll have a hook shaped like an L in it. That L hooks to the mechanism on the botton the of the handle that keeps it from coming down.

Fixed it, and my drift button even came in, I should immediately be able to drift like Koguchi. Thanks for the tips, a round of posi rep for everyone!
