Ok so i am installing my Aworks quick release and my nardi wheel.
The nardi horn button doesnt fit all the way down (flush) with the aworks quick release. The release isnt deep enough for the horn to fit.
HOW DO I MAKE IT WORK!?!?!

that's why you get the nardi ring... it covers that little 1/4" gap perfectly. But if your not rockin the classic... then iono what to say

I cannot speak on behalf of that quick release since I have no experience with that brand
But sometimes people will say the Nardi horns do not fit
First off, you want to remove the metal ring insert that is often in hubs/quick releases, since most often they are made for the bore size of a Momo horn
But there are three prongs on the back of the horn
One at 2 o clock
One at 6 o clock
One at 10 o clock
Wedge in the bottom prong, then wedge in the 10 o clock
Then take a flat head screwdriver and push in the third prong and push horn in
The tolerance is tight so that it doesn't fall out
If the horn doesn't go all the way down, then sometimes you need to push and align the wires behind the horn in a way to make them less obtrusive and take up less space behind the horn

Nardi Trim ring is made only for Nardi Classic wheels
Nardi Classics use hex bolts with flat holes in the wheel, which the trim rings attach over
Nardi Sport Type A's use allen bolts with tapered holes in the wheel, which doesn't require a trim ring (since the bolts sit flat)

That piece where the arrow is pointing isnt deep enough for the horn to fit into. Even with the ring piece taken out.

how concerned are you with the horn working or not?
what i did was pull the wires out and remove the trim ring, it will fit.

i know where you're coming from, dont listen to the negative above (except for aspec, he's helping ya out)
i had the same problem, horn would get jammed on engaged as well. did you measure the depth of the bore and compare it to the depth needed for the nardi horn to sit properly? if its not off by much, you can fit it in there, just have to play with the wires and such, cuz it gets in the way.
if the depth vs. needed space is off by what you said, duno how to help you from there.
my situation i had an l2 quick release and shit didnt work, so i just picked up a circuit sports QR for shits and giggles cuz the wirese were messed up on the L2 anyway. good luck.

I want the horn to work. When i take out the trim ring and insert the horn button into the quick release it seems like it isn't deep enough for the horn to go all the way into. It doesn't sit flush with the steering wheel, it sticks out a 1/4 on an inch.
^yeah the depth is off alot........?!?!?!??

My friend had the same setup, His nardi button did not fit flush at all.
He got tired of it, and didn't even try to mess with it. I drive w/o a horn button like 30% of members on this board.
Try looking for a horn button that is compatible with your Aworks QR.
Or re-wire your horn button, to a simple button on your dash :keke:

alright thanks for the help.
I have the same problem. Removed the ring and it still stuck out about 3mm. It's good enough for me. You don't really notice it unless you're up close. I don't have horns in my car so I don't need functionality.
How about going with that pull down horn like semi-trucks use??
that shit would be hot!!!!!

yes the horn wont fit. It will stick out and not sit flat plus it wont stay centered either.
I got mine to work by cutting the three prongs and removing the small dome inside and replaced it with foil paper. I then made some new prongs and bent them in in order to keep the spring in. In order for it not move i just used the thin plastic that is attach to the cap of a gallon of milk(im talking about the one that rips off when first twisting the cap off).
Works perfect and fits perfect. Ill try to post of the horn and how if sits on the wheel tomorrow.
