So one of the motors in my pop-up lights died so i went out and got a pair of the ebay headlight conversion things. for $80 including shipping i wasnt expecting much. but they actualy turned out ok.

fitment was really good, much better than i expected

I did have to adjust the back hole so the hood would clear the back edge of the lights.

But this tab fit perfect and is metal

the only thing i had to do was make a bracket for the front outside corners. you dont really need it but i dont want them to shake at all.

no they are not real CF, its just pained on... and yes i will be painting them

im gonna end up redoing the braket so its cleaner and easier to get to.

also the lights themselves do suck, they are just fog lights... gonna pick up some hella 90mm low beam projectors and MAKE them fit.

all in all though, not to shabby

Atleast you like them, but i wouldn't be caught dead driving with them on my car.

Haha Steve Shadows has those on his car too!
(I believe it was a similar situation, dead headlight motor... plus they're light!)

How's the light output on yours?

as long as you like em. and at least they fit with no really huge gaps.

"you get what you paid for"
funny how ebay stuff sells and companys like abflug, veilside had
to discontinue their $1,400 grim light kit.
supply and demand, companies won't be making junk unless someone demand it.
most of my friends own factories in china and they tell me the biggest problem is not quality control, american companies demand lower price and lower quality.
thanks,

sam

Hella 90mm are awesome, but check out the 'new' 50mm also! Easier to fit under sleepy eyes :)

Not my cup of tea but then again not my car, as long as you like them and are happy with the products quality.

Neither of my headlights go up or down, but I rather raise them manually every day haha.

I just leave em up. I'm way to damn lazy for that :D

Eastbear/style headlights look like an abortion.

Yes! ZAR could not of put that any better. Flip ups are great I want to get a usdm s14 and do flip ups for a daily.

mine wont go down either, but I just manually roll them down if I feel like it.

I don't mind the lights though, especially for 80 bucks

+1, mine work perfectly fine, but I leave them up.

The cosmetic problem with these lights is that they go against the flow and contours of the S13 front end. It's like forcing food down your throat while you're throwing up at the same time.

Sorry but, it just doesn't work.

I would have spent the 80 bucks on a new motor for the OEM headlight. But hey that's just my common sense.

At least I don't have to drive that travesty. Have fun!
