It's weird....I live in Hawaii..so it's never really cold..but in the morning....the car starts up great.....
when it's midday OR when the car is warm still from driving it earlier....and i start the car...it rolls over no problem....but it dies...and i'll restart it..and it will be ok....or i can just gas it when i first start it and it will survive...
I've changed the fuel filter....the spark plugs are new....any other things to change?? or something more intense i will have to deal with?? help me out guys..... <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

Just a guess, but is your car running rich at all? I'm just wondering if in the warmer air, there isn't enough air getting into the mixture and it's fouling your plugs... I could be totally off base with this one, but it's a thought.

Hey just curious...how bout if spark plugs are too tight?? I didn't use a torque wrench...but i just did it firm....is it really critical?? <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

well check the basics fuel and spark, then i would say
check your fuel pressure. could be a faulty pump.

go buy a Factory Service Manual. There is a diagnostic procedure for this exact problem.....I suppose I can scan it later tonight...but really, you'll find a FSM is a great resource for whatever little problem you have, it's also a good read whenever your bored.
there's two similar issues....
1-engine dies or stutters/hesitates when warm
2-engine dies or stutters/hesitates when cold.
btw... which part of Hawaii? My fiance is from Hilo...if you're on the big island, maybe next time I go visit....I'll stop by <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

yeah....FSM...something i wanna get...i am getting killed with expenses on the car...but i will be on the look out for a FSM...i know it's the bible for your car....it's hard to explain...like if it's warm...but off for a good while it will do that....i am thinking it's some fuel delivery problem in the begining....i changed the fuel filter a few months ago..but perhaps i should do it again....maybe it's really dirty in there...hope it ain't nothing really bad...
anyways...i live right smack in town on Oahu...been up to the big island though..got a friend up in Waikoloa...but haven't seen him in years...but hey you probably come through to Oahu before hitting to Hilo....yeah man...be kewl to meet a fellow "240ian" from the forums....haha..

i doubt your f filter is dirty that quick to case fuel not to be delivered. get a fp gauge and see what your fp is
check for spark also

You know..i put in new spark plugs like a few months ago.....so i don't know....so far today it's fired up fine....so perhaps its just junk in my fuel system...i ain't sure....it's really sporatic...but ive noticed it more when the car is warm..yet today....when it was warm i fired it up after about 10 minutes of it being off and it fires right up....
i wish i had a sr....it's an s13 with a Ka24DE engine....perhaps when i pay it off i may get an sr...
