how much would you pay for this 1995 240sx se?

alright so heres the scoop i might be getting a 5spd 1995 240sx se for basically free from a guy i know... but when i get it im swapping the 5 lug conversion off it and putting on a 4 lug, the drivers side window does not work, the quarter panel on the drivers side where the bumper meets it is pushed in a little bit, i dont know whether it passes smog or not cuz he hasnt tried to smog it, and the last thing wrong with it... it might have bad timing but nonetheless its pretty clean and runs good.

after knowing all of that because im going to want to sell it to try to make some money off it... how much would you pay for it or how much do you think i could sell it for?

i was kinda of hoping to maybe get 3000 for it.

i told my friend i would sell him the 5 lug for super cheap. because hes been wanting 5 lug for a while now but doesnt have a lot of money.

Do a search on how much base model s14s are priced at on autotrader, because once you take off those 5 lugs that's pretty much what you're making it.

A little exaggerated but yes, don't leave an S14 crippled with 4 lug.

Besides, where would you get the hubs to replace them with? If your friend has an S13, those hubs wont fit.

Haha, your car sounds identical to my car as far as the problems. If it helps, I picked mine up for ~$3000 around a year(?) ago with 170Kish and 5 lugs.

i bought mine with a messed up front end for 1700 and it was 4lug

with out the front end being messed up i would of been willing to pay like.. 2800

so 3k isn't that much of a stretch.

since automatic s14's with 5lug tend to fetch like 4-5k for them
i would recommend keeping it 5lug cuz it does keep the resale value above 4k

You can probably get more if you sell the car with 5 lug, THEN buy him a 5 lug hub set with the money.

I'm sure people don't like the thought of something like that being messed with before they buy the car.

Sell the car with the 5 lug and buy a set of front S14 5 lug or something and rear Z32 five lug, you'll probably make more money that way and help out your friend even more.

Hey Schultz, why did you post a pic of an interior that's not even the same car? Is it cause that's the one that the OG seller posted for you? If so, I hope you've gotten a good look at the interior in person. You could be in for some surprises if you haven't seen the inside yet. I've seen people try to pull this crap when selling 240s.

Also as far as the asking price, definitely keep the 5-lugs on it. Not only is it the 5-lugs your selling but you're removing the OEM SE rims that alot of people like and really go good with the car since you're getting 16" wheels instead of crappy 15" steelies. It's a BIG cosmetic plus. You'd be surprised what you will be able to get for it if you keep it looking as-is.

I paid 6500 for my 95' SE 5-speed w/ABS+VSD package and a fresh paint job. And it was worth every penny.

I would say you should be able to get about 4000 for it as-is. As long as the interior is clean. Good luck.

well i don't know if this would help but when i bought my 240 it was a SE 5spd
in the best cond. you can think of....the old lady i bought put it in storage with a car cover and the car had only 72k on it and i took it for 4200.00 back in 2000 so..............had dealer records not like it mattered to me because the KA motor went bye bye 8 days after i bought it lol:hsdance: and it was fully equit. cd tape sunroof cd changer body kit from nissain spoiler the se rims oem car matts you name it......and it had it expect for the built in phone feature which i diff. didn't need that lol
