the mesh is already gone the dash fit with barely any mods but the gauges dont work after the swap because the signal is different from the aem ems. the door panels from the 240 dont look bad you need to make a filler piece to go from the a pillar to the dash though. also for everything to fit right you have to modify the dash brace from the 350 to bolt into the 240 and you need the 350z steering column... long story short on the dash its not worth it unless your making a showcar. i took it out because the gauges wont work.

it does work its just alot of work. like a few minutes of welding a few hours of molding and a few thousands dollars worth of wiring to make the gauges work.

that dash looks awesoem in it, for tha gauges not workign just make a resistor bax and it should correct the signal to what you need

the aem unit produces a totaly different type of signal. to make it work i would have to have the entire 350z wire loom adapted to run the 240 and i would be using the stock 350z ecu so no programability and a stupid speed limiter. its not worth it.

how well does that z dash fit?
i thought about using it for my vq35de swap but the front end conversion i did was already pretty out there so I decided to use my stock s14 dash with s15 cluster.

it fits as well as can be expected the 350zs firewall is realy tall so leg room is an issue once everything is attached on the driverside the passenger is fine though. if you leave off the under panel that the fuel door button is on then its doable. also you need to heat the main plastic dash piece up with a heatgun and make the corners stay about 2" down where they meet the door panel. its alot of work to make it not look half assed...

thats actualy what im doing but not in the z dash i guess im using the aem 16 in 1 thing i haven't totaly decided yet i might just buy all analog
gauges and fill in some space that removing all the stereo/climate control left.

lastnight my friend sean and i finished shaving the antena hole and molding on the sideskirts the other aero pieces are not being molded.
i should have it painted by the first of april then its on the the vq swap

and i got megan tie rods and ends... i'll try to take pics of the install

because the fitment was bad now they look nice and i dont care for the whole falling off the car ziptied look.
the "molding" consists of 8 rivets and a 1mm thick layer of fiberglass resin a micro layer of bondo and a coat of filling primer. not the mexican bondo jobs people usualy do. also no rust in socal.
if i ever need the kit off it just takes a few strokes with an angle grinder and they will fall right off.

well i had an eventfull week last week i totaled brandy due to mechanical failure. 350z brakes produce way more heat than i expected and cooked the fluid in the line on the passenger side locked the right brake 100ft skidmark only on passenger side then 20 feet from the canyon wall i hit,
there where 2 skidmarks from me locking it up. weeeeee smash!
anyway i pulled everything off the chassis and bought a new car from a forum member, great buy 2k for a running driving car with no rust bondo or major dents and ksports and a well installed sr20det 3" exhaust greddy FATT and greddy BOV. so brandy will be even better than before this also gives me the chance to take better pics and be more thorough with my build thread. stay tuned

a little, one of the wheels was not tight so it fell off in traffic. but we fixxed it and drove the rest of the way with not much else as far as problems go, turbo smell and no oil once i got it home. oil change some sp fluid and its a perfect car.
the welded diff is gone and my carbonetics is in now,way better no tire chirp.

ok progress kinda. finished the 5 lug swap and the brakes installed the new rack and tie rods and ends painted my bay and got the engine back from the machinist.
but... he lost the key way pieces for the crank.

i love s13 interiors, 350z are goofy inside, imo. but i suppose it is unique.

And the mesh is there for a reason...protects the intercooler very well. I like to use the more wirey stuff, and have it the same color as the bumper, makes it look nice.
