Don't talk shit, I searched.
I got lied to when I bought an S14 1pc aluminum driveshaft.
My stock S13 diff does not have ABS but I have ABS LSD that is gonna go on with the aluminum DS.
The S14 DS I bought is almost 3 inches longer than my stock non-abs driveshaft, so it seems like I can just have a shop shorten and re-balance it, no?
The next question is, how long is an S13 ABS driveshaft?
you can have it shortened, take it to a driveshaft place, they weld them to the "T", they count how much wire they use, and balance it, i had "the driveshaft shop" do my one peice for my rb25 swap. syko performace buys theres from that shop as well.
hope i was atleast some help.

yeah, thanks. I still need to find out how long an S13 ABS DS is, or else I will have to go find one in a junk yard to measure.

Best bet, put your car in the air and measure. It's not really how long the driveshaft you want needs to be, but how long your specific driveshaft should be. There's a lot of variance between subframe, diff, transmission, and engine mounting, that's why some ABS cars can accept a non ABS shaft while others grind the tailshaft to powder.
I bought an ABS shaft for my non ABS car that's fitted with an ABS diff, should have been a bolt in job, I still had to shorten it a hair in the end for a perfect fit because it rubbed on the dust collar, eventually eating through it. You can take a basic measurement from an S13 shaft but you'll still want to be more exact on your own car, you'd hate to cut/weld it only to have to do it again.

yeah. I understand what you are saying. Its my DD so its hard to put the ABS LSD in, measure, then wait for the DS to get modified. but maybe I could just measure EVERYTHING and the shop could figure it out.
you would think that if I got the lenght of both both diffs, their mounting points, both DS's, etc. etc. etc. and then cross my fingers......

Dude.. just do it right from the beginNing lol. I had the same problem russ mentioned of the shaft rubbing the dust boot. You just never know.. with the worn out bushings all over the car, who knows how shit will turn out. I'll be changing all my bushings including subframe and diff mounting bushings soon. My ds might turn out to be too long, too short.. who knows. Do everything you plan on doing before you fit the driveshaft.. aka engine mounts, etc. as DS length may not be what it appears. If you lived closer, I'd help you out. Oh by the way.. most places I've seen charge between 100-150 to cut and balance a shaft.. I've seen prices up to $200 though. I bought my aluminum DS from a guy on ebay.. $300 shipped. Works perfect. You may want to take a look there.

Ouch. To shorten and balance mine I paid $60. Shop around before you have someone do it.
