View Full Version : Z32 and Q45 rear upright the same?
A junkyard around me has some Q45s, and the uprights look very similar to Z32 aluminum rear uprights. I have heard that there might be minor differences between them though.
So are the rear aluminum uprights between a Z32 and an early 90's Q45(with non-active suspension) the same?

Yes, exact same, unless it has HICAS, then it's the same as the TT upright. If so, press out the ball joint where to toe arm would reside and replace with a bushing.
Thanks for the answer Russ.
Out of curiousity, do the 5 lug Q45 rear hubs work with stock S13/S14 axles, or do they require the larger axles that the Z32TT uses? The Q45s have R200 diffs, so I'm inclined to think they'd work with S chassis cars.

The hubs fit the larger TT axles. I had a friend assume they worked and bought nine pair, luckily the yard didn't check so he returned them all but kept the uprights.
