well i have a 1995 240sx and the airbag light is on, so i ran it under the diagnosis mode to see what codes it threw and i got 7 flashes and according to the FSM, 7 flashes recommends to:

1. visually check the wiring harness connections.
2. replace the diagnosis sensor unit
3. replace the main harness

so therefore im hoping its not the harness, and ima go ahead and replace the diagnosis sensor unit.

so my questions are: WHERE IS THE DIAGNOSIS SENSOR UNIT LOCATED? HOW MUCH FOR A USED ONE? AND WHERE WOULD BE A GOOD PLACE TO CHECK FOR WIRING HARNESS CONNECTIONS?

thank you zilvians:o

edit: i get 1 solid blink and then 7 constant blinks in diagnosis mode, so does that make it 8 blinks?

does you light blink while you car is on? try this insert the key in the ignition, turn it to ON but dont start the car, once its it the ON postion hit the driver side door pin i belive its 5 times ot 7, so push it 5 times and then turn the key off then start the car, it should erase the code and the air bag light, it worked for me

The main airbag diagnostic sensor unit is located underneath the back seat directly above the driveshaft hump. Pull the rear seat out & you'll see the yellow airbag wiring harness running to the diagnostic sensor unit. You'll have to remove the metal plate which covers the sensor unit to test the harness. I had the same problem with my 95...airbag light came on. If you can't reset it like Sillydrift said....(it's click 7 times...not 5), then you'll have to replace your airbag sensor unit. Mine was covered under warranty when it crapped out. You can check: 1). your local junkyard, 2). people here on Zilvia parting out their 95 S14's. Airbag sensor units from later model years will not work as the harness plug for 97-98's are different from 95's....not sure about 96's though...Russ...you on?? Russ can answer this one. Or 3). www.e-bay.com / www.car-part.com / www.autogator.com / www.ninfiniti.com

Hope this helps...

Good luck!!

yeah then maybe your sensor is bad, casue i did it on my car and it went away, idlafie is right you have to push the door pin 7 times, but from the moment you put the key in the ON position you have to press it 7 times within 10 seconds, then off the on again
