Ok today i was driveing on rt 1 and a cop was behind me so i was driving like normal and all of a sudden his lights ad siren went on.I was only doing 35-40mph and the speed was 45 so i was like I a not speeding then he says your exhaust is to loud.I was like how is that and he was like it is not factory and it is to loud.SO he gave me a ticket for defective equipment code 46.2-1003 and i was like how much is this ticket he was like i dont know.
 I even told hime that i could put my silencers in but he was like your not on ft belvoir and i was only like 5 minutes away.So i went and found out how much my ticket was and it is gonna cost me $77.00 my real mom is gonna pay it for me so i got lucky cus i am broke.

Well by virgina law if the exhaust is louder then factory then yes i will lose in court.It is classified as altering factory equipment which means adding a non factory part to your car.If it passes inspection or emitions it does not grant that it is legal.So I am going to pay the fine and get it over with.I am lucky that i did not get a service order cus I would be screwed then.It is only 77.00 thank got the ticket itself was only 30.00 but the proceesig fee it 47.00 wich sucks.

But thats haha pertty much why i stay away from apex exhaust cuz u pretty much got to have a silencer on to prevent it from being loud unless its turbo'd... sorrie man to hear bout that, but if u can prove the court that its under 95 decibals go for it. Im glad cops down in virginia beach dont hassle ne one no more unless they have a reason. Well my mom is in the arm but there is a big problem wit insurance if she found out i got a ticket she would go crazy.I am leaving for the army next month and so i want this taken care of asap.It is only 77.00 and my ral mom is taken care of it for me so I ma lucky.

Hey I am an aussie with a passion for drift... after destroying a avs series 2 wheel and a lower control arm by tapping a curb. however closer to the topic is that fact that in Australia they have just released a law that if they have reason to believe that you were involved in illegal activities such as racing or drifting that your car could now be confiscated... so you guys think a fine for an exhaust is bad... we don't even have to get caught in the act the police just have to have reason to believe that the vehicle was involved in these illigal activites... so you almost have to leave your toys at home and stay on drift tracks now...

You'll love this one...our local asshole cop &nbsp;pulled me over after running a random license plate check on my car. I was driving my dad's new 3 day old car with a bunch of my friends and the plates didn't match (but if you have the paperwork to back it up it is legal in illinois). So Officer Ass gets out and calls two other cops for back-up. &nbsp;I'm pulled over on the side of the main street in town, all my parents friends and my friends seeing me, with 3 cops behind me. &nbsp;I show Officer Ass all the paperwork, he says non of it's valid. I get a $75 ticket for no proof of insurance. &nbsp;I go to the county clerks office the next week and they tell me all my paperwork was totally legitimate and I get the ticket removed.

The local import boys have now made a sticker kind of like the no smoking sticker but with Officer Ass's squad car number in it. &nbsp;All of them have these friggin huge stickers on their rear windows now. It's really pretty funny
