I know exactly what im suppose to do but for the life of me I dont understand how one even reaches the screws holding the ecu onto the bracket. I suppose it doesnt help im strapped as far as tools go but there is no way I could get a screwdriver in here?

if you cant use a screwdriver try a small socket, cant remember what mm but when i took mine out i had to use a small socket+extension to get them off

The bracket comes out with it.
I see, I searched on here and they said it slides out. I originally tried taking the whole bracket out but couldn't get the "hook/latch" at the front to come out

uhm, its definately 2 10mm bolts holding the thing on to the chassis.... and a another 10mm bolt connecting the harness to the ecu

i uasually whistle and mine comes running.

1/4 in drive 10 mm should do it no problem.

LOL - for me i just take the 10mm outta the harness plug and pick it up off the floor - or if its been lucky, it would have zipties around it and the kickpanel covering it (RARELY - that shit sits on the friggin floor)

wow i dont undestand why people make threads about this. Its not like nissan has a secret to get it off. Its really not that hard just undo the bolts and ur done. ima make a thread and ask how to change an air filter.

Why do you have to be such an ass about it? I admit I know little to nothing about tools or working on cars but im getting there...one would obviously think to use a screwdriver to take the screws off but I dont have enough space to use one so i made this thread.

some people with fuked up old wiring get the pins tweaked unless its mounted which you should do. it is not cool to have the computer laying in the floorboard.

He's being an ass because you asked the stupidest fucking question known to man. If you had even looked at the ECU it'd be painfully obvious the bracket comes out with it. That's like asking how you open a door when there's only a doorknob on it.
