Okay, so after doing my timing chain and hooking everything back up the car doesn't idle right. When started the car will constantly drop back and forth between 1500 and 1800 rpm. It's almost like an on/off switch, it's not rough at all, just goes up and down about every half second. I first thought it was a vacuum leak, but I plugged the two ports on the intake and rerouted the back one to the FPR, and no change. I unplug the MAF, the idle momentarly drops and then continues up and down. Unplug tps, nothing happens. Haven't checked the IAC, but haven't touched anything up there anyway. Any ideas?

could be the coolant temp sensor......or a big air pocket.

sounds kinda like the coolant temp sensor... mine went bad when i had the single slammer in my car. and it did something along those lines.

mine did the same for a while, it turned out to be a vacumm leak, and the aaicv valve (i think thats how it is called) lol, then it was a ok

Hmmm, I'll check the temp sensor out. I probably need to bleed the coolant system too.

If the coolant temp sensor was broken would the temp gauge still work?
