i have an s13 w. an sr in it with a tubular manifold... the brakes start to stick as i start driving it for a few miles and the pedal gets rock solid and if i even touch it the brakes lock, but then randomly if i shut the car off and then drive it again, the brakes will be fine... im wondering if it involves the heat from the manifold or if it is the seal in the calipers sticking, i just want some feedback before i start replacing parts...

If the manifold was getting too close to the brake lines, the fluid would get very hot and boil, making the pedal feel mushy, not harder.
Most likely you've got a master cylinder problem, or a clog in the MC/lines. Replace your MC with a rebuilt one matched to your brake calipers (z32, stock, etc) and bleed the system - my bet is that'll fix everything.

thats what i thought too, becuase heat makes the brakes LESS effective... and im thinking if it were the seals in the caliper it would just stick all the time, so im going to do the MC, and then if that doesnt fix it ill get some reman'd calipers or some z32 ones .. if i replace both thers really no way i can go wrong
