So this thread is to share amusing/ weird stories that you have had with dealing with people on Zilvia, or just weird stories about your car in general.
And by weird I don't mean stories of electrical gremlins in your 240, but stuff like my car got struck by lightning or I hit a officer on a horse while driving like a maniac.


Ill start.


So my brother is selling some r32 GTR wheels on here and he gets a buyer. He lives in so cal and I live in Fresno, and the buyer is from the bay area, and wants to pick them up on the way back from a trip to la.
so i rush around trying to find someone i know with a spare set of s14 se wheels and tires ( my car is just sitting in the garage) and the whole town of Fresno is saturated with Hondas and four lug s13s, so when the guy gets to town i am just taking the wheels off my car.

the guy haggled my brother down from 750 to 600.
my brother asked if he could do 650, but the guy says no, my partner at the shop and I can not afford the extra 50.
so knowing this I was extra surprised to see him pull up to buy the wheels in a Bentley Continental GT.

My first thought was damn I need to hurry cause i don't want to keep the guy waiting, than I thought, wtf? he can not afford the 50 bucks but he drives a Bentley?

yes it was his car, and he seemed like a cool guy, but I still don't believe that he haggled the price and than rolls up in a Bentley.

This time, yup, patrolled. Cop gets me going 114 (thank god I slowed down :)) but because I admitted my mistake and how much of an IDIOT I was and how young and stupid I was he marked me down to 80.

Kinda lame I know, but I would've gotten arrested.

i want to punch people that try that shit with me. you agree on a price ahead of time. dont try and fuck me. ive given in ONE time. it was $100 lower on a DSM i was selling. i was just glad he ONLY offered $100 less than what i was asking. i would have taken almost anything to get that pile of shit out of my driveway though. when you're trying to sell a car for 6 months, you will do crazy things. i still lost alot on that car..

but other than that. i generally meet people at public places to do a transaction. if they try to hagle with me, after we've previously agreed to a price. ill hop in my car and go home. fuck that. fuck that.

SO here's my story. The other day it was nice out when I got up in the am to go to work. Drive the Lex to work. 9 hours later when I go to leave there is 8 inches of snow everywhere and its still coming down hard. After taking forever to clean off my car cause well 8" of snow and dress shoes and a suitdon't fair well I get in go to move make it one foot and wheels spin. Car is stuck so bad I leave it in gear get out and start pushing it. Is rush hour so there are like a billion cars driving by nobody stops they all just watch me. So after about 30 minutes of doing that this big SUV pulls up and I'm like FUCK YEAH some dudes to help me.....out hops this cute little 5' 100maybe105 lb she says " DO you need some help pushing?" At this point i must have had the dumbest look on my face I could imagine what good this girl was going to do. I took the help anyway and told her to get in the car and floor it until it was at the end of the drive way. IT worked and after an horrible drive to the parking garage which is only 4 blocks from my work I arrived home 1 hours and 45 minutes later. When I got home it dawned on me I forgot to get her number:rant2:

I've met sw20>>s14 after a club at Pete's cafe before I had figured out that he PMed me a long time ago about paint. Since then it has been a horrible misadventure of getting into trouble... oh the horrors.

Met !Zar! at tapioca express in San Mateo probably, since then he low balls me for everything I have LOL I met my gf through him kinda so I might have got the shorter end of the stick.

All these squares you can find at tapioca express... if you haven't met them in person you would just laugh for hours. Once you put a face and a personality behind a screen name it is completely different, they are usually a lot friendlier than you would think.

I don't mind people barganing for a lower price. In some culutures, like mine, it's to be expected and sometimes they'll think you're a fool for not doing it. Having said that, I do hate it when I agreed on a price with someone and they try to lower it at the point of sale.

I've met a few Zilvians in the past and for the most part they've been pretty chill and cool.
It's true, putting a face to the screen name changes your view of that member. For example drift_freak and ixfxi may rub some people the wrong way but they are actually mad cool people. I'm sure Russ is the same way.

And I too am surprised when I meet a brother fellow nissan enthusiast. Sorry Revat and Phlip, there's just not that many of you guys with Nissans around where I'm from.

I've always said that the military has got to be one of the closest knit groups of it's size anywhere. not from zilvia...but just selling a cell phone for my sister. The guy said he was at work late, and he could meet me at a location. I was selling the phone...and I had to meet this guy 30 mins away from me.

Before we left the house, we called the guy, and said..it's gonna take us 30 min to get there...we'll be there by "7:30". The guy says cool...i'm leaving work right now...see you soon.

We get there, took us 20 minutes..call the dude like hey we are here, where are you? He says..oh sorry...i had to stay a little longer. I've already left the building...be there in 20. No worries...shit happens.

30 minutes go by...and now i've been here for 50 minutes. Call the dude (keep in mind...this is my sisters cell phone...i'm not making money)...ring ring...no answer. his answer " geeze I just got off work, I was hungry so I stopped to get some food. I'll be there in a few minutes"

none the less....we waited 2 hours at starbucks to sell this guy a phone that retailed for 500...that my sister sold for 250 cause the upgrade price was 299. Fuck that dude.

I was selling a griffin radiator a while back and got a email from a kid who gave me a sob story which i didnt care about but i agreed to take $120 instead of the $150 i was asking just to get it out of my garage if he came and got it that night. He agrees and starts his drive over to get it which was about 45 minutes from me about 20 minutes go by and i get a text saying "hey about half way there can you take $100 i had to get gas and only have $120 till payday" i respond "sure what ever just hurry up", so about 20 minutes later i see a car pull up and i think to my self i really hope this isnt the kid cause hes driving a Mercedes SUV with rims and hes trying to haggle me down. Well it was him and his friend who probably had a combined weight of 180lbs and spoke to each other in spanish the whole time about seeing how low they could get it for and the fact i had a beware of dog sign for a mini weiner dog little did they know i also speak spanish so i went to the garage to get the radiator and let my 100lb rottie out of the house. They kept pointing out bends in the fins and saying how its gonna leak and they cant pay $100 for it so i asked out of humor what they could pay when they said $35 i laughed told them have a safe drive home and went in my house, got a text 5 minutes later saying "fine ill pay $70 but thats as much as i can do" i responded with "id rather let it sit in my garage then sell it to you and by the way my rottie sleeps outside."

Never heard from them again but it did reconfirm my hatred for people who try to haggle me down at the point of sale (also known as honda kids around here) now when people try that shit i just laugh

I used to hang out with a few people from zilvia & ziptied and was cool with people.. than people flipped on me and started to talk shit online about me, one guy says something, than the others kinda follow and agree. Like real childish shit. I may not agree with some styling and thats when people take offense to it and start a war. There is more to life than cars. a couple of months ago i was sellin a pretty clean S14 roller with drivetrain minus the motor, brand new Megan street coils. keep in mind the coils were $1000. the car had a few scratches but full interior, AT, coils and clean title so i was trying to get at least $1400 because it was taking up space and i needed cash.

anyway, this kid messages me here and we swap numbers to make things easier. he tells me he has a schedule to keep and he can only meet me early mornings so i agree and the time he gives me is 7fuckingA.M. monday morning but i needed money so i tell him thats fine just please be on time. monday comes around, this fuck texts me at 5 a.m. saying he's on his way from the Irwindale area and tells me to be ready when he gets there.
im thinking "i fuckin live here...it will take me 6 seconds to walk outside to meet you" im pretty irritated by the text but i agreed, so i go back to sleep till he calls me saying he's outside at 8:00. i walk outside to an Escalade with big chrome wheels and this skinny twigman who looked 120lbs wet and his gorilla looking goon standing over the car with arms folded talking in what i believe to be armenian. we shake hands and introduce ourselves (gorilla goon nearly breaking my hand) and i give them the walk through of the vehicle, point out the paint blemishes and remind him of the pros and killer price. the twigman turns to his goon and says something in foreign tongue and they go to the caddi and talk for about 5 minutes, they come back to me and the twig says in the most annoying, matter-of-factly voice i've ever heard "im not paying $1300 for a car in this condition" it took every fiber of my being not to go apeshit. i just woke up 2 hours before work to meet this fuck only for him to be an hour late and to nag about the price he approved of. i just said "its a shell, smart guy" and went back inside.

This is the mudpuppy knuckle car from Honda, what can we do about this but make sales?? And so, we venture out to the country side to meet my second cousin's friend's second cousin because he is the only person in the family who knows the website address of craigslist.com. And we tell him, hey man, we want rid of this knuckle car, we tired of people stealing H for Humor emblem and of coolant hose breaking past the 3000 rpm. Honda gauge reads to 10 thousand rpm, but 3000rpm max on this knuckle for some reason. Help us rid this shit from the countryside please! So this thread is to share amusing/ weird stories that you have had with dealing with people on Zilvia, or just weird stories about your car in general.Never dealt with any 'Zilvian' but i have used my car for buying and selling stuff on Craigslist on both US and Canada. One thing that always happens is that if i buy something large from someone they are always surprised to see me show up in a "small" car but then they get thoroughly impressed when they see the roominess with the seats down in the hatch.
One weird event that happened was when i showed up to buy something i had arranged from craigslist. The guy had agreed to the same thing with other people. He even said something along the lines of "i wanted to make sure somebody showed up". I showed up first so i "got" the deal but i would of been angry if i paid gas to drive over there for nothing. As i was leaving somebody else did come and was angry that the seller agreed to the same sale to multiple people. From then on i never buy from anyone on CL too far away just in case something goes wrong with the deal at least you didn't waste as much time/gas.

Shit, I got a story about AkademikOne/Simoun. I know alot of the OG premies from the old Premie Chats and shit. He used to promote parties and I remember he used to post up pictures to try to get more folks to come out.

Well, I was in Mall of Asia in Philippines back in 07 and I jumped in an elevator and saw this guy that looked somewhat familiar. I was thinking where the fuck have I seen this guy before? Not till a couple of days later on the Premie Chat did I ran into him and he said he was in Philippines. I was like no fucking way, that was you at Mall of Asia!!! I was selling a griffin radiator a while back and got a email from a kid who gave me a sob story which i didnt care about but i agreed to take $120 instead of the $150 i was asking just to get it out of my garage if he came and got it that night. He agrees and starts his drive over to get it which was about 45 minutes from me about 20 minutes go by and i get a text saying "hey about half way there can you take $100 i had to get gas and only have $120 till payday" i respond "sure what ever just hurry up", so about 20 minutes later i see a car pull up and i think to my self i really hope this isnt the kid cause hes driving a Mercedes SUV with rims and hes trying to haggle me down. Well it was him and his friend who probably had a combined weight of 180lbs and spoke to each other in spanish the whole time about seeing how low they could get it for and the fact i had a beware of dog sign for a mini weiner dog little did they know i also speak spanish so i went to the garage to get the radiator and let my 100lb rottie out of the house. They kept pointing out bends in the fins and saying how its gonna leak and they cant pay $100 for it so i asked out of humor what they could pay when they said $35 i laughed told them have a safe drive home and went in my house, got a text 5 minutes later saying "fine ill pay $70 but thats as much as i can do" i responded with "id rather let it sit in my garage then sell it to you and by the way my rottie sleeps outside."

Never heard from them again but it did reconfirm my hatred for people who try to haggle me down at the point of sale (also known as honda kids around here) now when people try that shit i just laugh

i drove an hour out of my way cause some guy wanted a beat OEM bumper and a 96 grill in perfect shape, he also wanted to see a chaser BN bumper i had, and my zenki silvia grill
told him i had to get it from storage but thats cool.

so i load it all up while on pain meds from having my wisdom teeth pulled.

drive out to meet him (well gf drives cause i dont mix meds and driving) to castle rock, which is an hour away.
15 min before i get there he says hey can you meet at 230 instead? and I tell him well i wam 15 min away already (we agreed to meet at 130)

I guess he got called into work, I told him would have been reallly nice to know before i left, but i'll find something to do.
so i grab a bite to eat, he finally shows up at 3:15, if i hadnt drove so far I would have left, but i didnt wanna spend all that gas for nothing,
he trys on both bumpers, the grills, really likes the silvia grill, asks me price on all of them

i cut him some deals cause i dont wanna deal with haggiling and just wanna go home
20 bucks for the OEM bumper
40 for the BN bumper
40 for the 96 grill
80 for the silvia grill

and that if he wanted the oem bumper and 96 grill, i'll do 50 for both.

he starts talking about all the previous cars "boosted civic, evo, and a bunch of boring hondas and he just bought the car a month ago"

His friend rolls up in a late model civic SI.
