whenever i rev. the car a little the idle drops to about 400 RPM's then raises back up....is that a common thing with the SR engines? im running a lawnmower battery, would that effect it ? any ideas anyone?
ALSO, my big oil pan is leaking a bunch of oil, is there anyway that i can fix it without pulling my motor up a few inches??

Regarding the idle, you can pull the IACV hose near the trottle body and spray into it with carb cleaner. I did mine with the engine running and it smoked like crazy but it seemed to help. It's a whole lot easier than taking it off.
As for the pan, there is no way to reseal it without dropping the subframe of lifting the engine.

if your bov is atmospheric, not recirculated back into the intake snorkel, it can cause this symptom. you could tighten up the spring on ur bov if it's adjustable and/or raise your base idle just a little bit. the best way to go is blow through maf though, and map sensor is even better than that . gl man

np, ya just stiffen it and bump your base idle up just a little with the screw that's inbetween the intake runners for 2 and 3. loosening the screw raises the idle, and vice versa.
blow through maf is the way to go though when you get something tunable.

i have a stock MAFS fro mmy SOHC KA engine do you think that would not allow enough air into my engine??

The SOHC maf should be fine on your stock sr. It Will run out of flow about the same time as the 370cc injectors.

Correct. SOHC MAF is fine. Was it dropping idle before you had the aftermarket BOV installed?
Don't forget to check timing (stock 15degrees), MAF connection (since you had to rewire to fit with SR), and vacuum lines.

my MAFS is fine and everything is good i think it might be my IACV, but 2day i messed with my BOV and it kinda fixed the problem a little bit not fully though, its freaking wierd whenever i open my door the idle drops a little bit...its fucked up..not sure whats going on
