Sold the car to a close friend of mine. Here is the list of the mods it had, in case someone has similar goals in mind or u were just curious to wtf i had done to it.

I believe i was lifting the head cause hadn't yet retorqued the arp head studs, hence the dip around 5200rpm, but mainly Turbo Dave tuned me for 20psi on 93 octane (pump gas) and i put 100 octane in it, cranked it to 22psi then strapped it to the dyno for the 441 run to see what the air fuels were at 22psi, i wasn't tuned for 100octane nor 22 psi, here's a cleaner graph from an actual tune and not a dyno queen peak power graph after i swapped the rear end from a 3.9 to a 3.54
http://i214.photobucket.com/albums/cc313/Z_U_L8R/280Zdynowhenprimered421-356.jpg
pink was 20psi pump gas with the 3.9 rear end old tune
red was 14psi "low boost" with the 3.54 rear end new tune
blue was 20psi pump gas with the 3.54 rear end new tune
you can see low boost holds the torque true all the way to redline
but 20psi at 6k rpm the turbo runs out of steam. .63 a/r is the smallest version of the gt30/76r , if i went to the .8X or the 1.X (bigger housing) it'd be a little laggier but it would support it all the way to redline. overall the 30r is a kick ass turbo if you want 400 or a little more.

(that's it for these dyno's, first motor lasted 7 months, timing belt idler pulley locked up, shredded timing belt = bent 19 valves, dropped new motor in /w hg & studs, lasted a month, was at the drag strip and drove it home with uber blow by.the plastic vacuum T to the fpr/profec cracked so it under fueled & over-boosted aka leaned out the motor and fried the piston/rings. after that i did wiseco 8.5:1 pistons +acl bearings + new oe oil pump, lasted a couple months then threw a rod on the dyno cause the stock rod bolt snapped...worst thing was i paid for pistons, rods, bearings, & machine work, and got everything but the rods, but i put it back together instead of bitched about it so...that's on me)

Basically I'm not the best welder/fabricator so i had those fine fellas handle that for me. Everything else I did myself. My specialties are engine diagnostics and Wiring.
thanks also to all the guys at Mainstream Performance, Top Hat Performance, Lethal Injection and everyone else for their help and support.

I drove that 280z for about 2 years with the stock L28E around, then finally rb20'd it. the rb20 was ok for a couple months and i had this rb25 waiting and waiting and waiting for the 240z to be finished but it didn't, so i said [email protected]#^ it and put it in the 280. Got a lot of kills with the Z.....
Basically I was getting the drivetrain situated in the 280z so once the body work was finished on my 71 240z, i would have a complete package. the 240z has all the suspension stuff already on it and bubble widebody fender flares molded into it. at this stage in it's 3 years in my possession. it's all in primer, rust free, with the flares, a molded in whale tail and beefier frame rails. the 240z should weigh in around 2300lb whereas the 280z was 2600lb. I plan on going 2j in the 240z because i want 600rwhp RELIABLY and 600 ain't gonna hurt a 2j.
here's some links to some vids i've made with the 280z
here's a 90mph 4th gear pull when it was [email protected] on the ebay t3/t4
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fDMKovyAAWo&feature=related
here's giving a 436hp supercharged foxbody stang a car length head start, the Z had 391hp at the time
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xGcbAOLDo4o&feature=related
here's my very first time at a drag strip with it
i just like the way it sounds in this one, i was trying to get out of first gear as fast as possible so i wouldn't [email protected] trap speed for the weaksauce E.T.

the vid says gt30/71r but it was really a gt30/76r. i didn't notice that till later but too late. [email protected] the music, it was an inside joke. that was on pep boys s-rated 245/60/14's with a 3.9 open diff...2.1 60' ftl >_< got traction?
then i got tired of the yellow and primer so i primed the whole thing

o3 zo6 (470rwhp) and for the record that evo ran 11.6's i think it was round 380rwhp
sorry for the novel, thanks for reading it all hehe
take care,
Dave
this is also my closure / good bye.....because i'll miss the 280
Now I begin my GT35R KA-T 72 Datsun 510. I would like a 9 second pass @@
