Well, this is the moment that every poor college kid has been waiting for, at least I have been. It is raining, now is the time to screw around (in a safe manner of course) and not toast those expensive tires. Yay! Just be careful, no curb humping and no public roads (I know, I know... yes mother)

I am a college kid. Guess what the college sports car club is doing in the commuter parking lot tomarrow? Auto cross baby. It should be a slight bit damp too.
My first auto cross
Anyone have any tips so I don't oversteer and spin out
I am guessing it will be a 2nd, maybe 3rd gear course. Do I just keep the revs near 6k or so?

It's not raining! liar! ... it rained EVER SO SLIGHTLY, but not enough to moisten the ground up enough to have any amount of 'fun' in abandoned parking lots.

Put some extra air in your tires...maybe 38 - 40 psi, than let air out after you run a heat or two till you get that best time on the 3rd. Also, drifting is your enemy in these events...they just add time overall. Have fun...first ones are the best.

How do you start a legal autocross? Do you just need to get permission from the owner of the parking lot or something? Cus it would be pimp if you could have a little thing at an empty parking lot... a cop comes up to you, and you can tell him to fuck off because you're doing things legally.
