Off to Japan.......

My flight leaves Monday morning on March 3rd to Osaka Kansai Int'l Airport. I will be in Tsuyama Japan for two weeks. Driving Sports Japan owner Kawabata san will be picking me up. March 11th is a qualifying event over at Bihoku Circuit for D1 Street Legal which i will be driving the D.S S14......I will also be working over at Driving Sports for two weeks, so no vacation =( but at night, alot of drinking...hahaha

Anyone need anything small, let me know....shoot me PMs and i will be happy to help out. Also, anything anybody would want to be added to our container, I can do so....

The Grand Opening for Aero-K Garage will be in June of 2008....we will advertise here and a few other forums. We will also have a full e-commerce website for all parts coming in from Japan.....
(will sign up for advertiser on zilvia when i arrive back in US on March 18th for pre-orders)
Container will include the following companies as a debut in US;

It is a very good idea, I will be going over their with enough money to bring back a butt loads of small JDM stuff from different tuning shops, I will post daily as i go day by day in Japan as well as whatever little things i get, pics will be up!

Rick started alot of problems is Australia and UK so he opened up a different name but they all tracked him down under drivingsports-na.com, the name was being used under a false company name. Long story short, the owner of drivingsports-na.com, Rick, is no longer to be heard from nor seen:tweak:

Genki desuka friends......i am in japanland and oh my god.....this place is really a dream. i really do not know if i am awake yet or dreaming or really here but anyway, its awesome!!! First night checked in hotel that Driving Sports made for me, and then we had dinner. Jet lag is a bitch, but hey i am not complaining. this morning i woke up to a snow storm and its pretty damn cold here...and again no complaints cause FL sucks donkey balls compared to here. I am uploading photos of day 1 and day 2 so far. i will keep you posted soon when it finished. Took over 200 pics since yesterday

guys....do not get mad but today was a day where it was my mistake and i had forgot the camera in the hotel room. Tomorrow depending on weather, we are heading to the mountain passes in Tsuyama city to check out the local drift scene and hang out with some of the locals. I won't forget this time. 2. The japanese like driving small compact mini vans and they are all over. i guess if you see the roads here in tsuyama city, it is so narraow people pull over so you can pass...and its all one way roads meaning each lane in one road for people to share....will take more later from city

Okay guys, my luck isn't to great today, junkyard was interesting but not the cars i wanted to see, and tonights weather in Tsuyama city is 0 celsius and will be raining...now in the mountains might have black ice, due to weather...maybe no touge runs for anyone until late april i was told.

I did take a few pictures on how narrow the roads are here in Tsuyama and its like this everywhere...since its a country town and not a major city, people drive around each other...although i am loving the quiet nature around this place...and the homes here are over 400yrs old but not these houses i don't think, they look somewhat new maybe. K-san is taking me to the Tsuyama city castle maybe sat or monday.....that should be interesting

each liter of High Octane runs about 157 yen (close to $1.57)

so...$1.57 x 4 = $6.28 per US Gallon.... :tweak: yep... and you stateside boys and girls thought YOU had high gas prices.

I did 10 years here from 1993-2003. Been back since May 07. Pretty much setting up to retire here. Looking at buying a house in the near future...

hey peeps, taking a break from working....so i decided to upload some pics from this morning. Stephen and I from Skay, Ltd. went to the USS auction here in japan, because he had to pick up some papers on a couple of cars he had purchased so i went with him to see what it was like, and i thought...hey why not share it with you guys. The owner of USS is the wealthiest japanese man here in all of Japan. Stephen told me 5000 cars go through here every week. I had a blast at D1SL today...some seriously sick ass cars, just waiting for the uploads to finish, might be done by tonight if not tomorrow...i have videos and pix. Although i didn't drive today because registration was over booked and Kawabata san was lucky enough to get in, but i said take the place. So he offered we go to Bihoku again tomorrow for a private day, so i will have my fun tomorrow. But stay tuned for the pix from today and will bring more over tomorrow!!!

Uploads are finished but just the pics....uploading videos as we speak so i will start off with the pix. Kawabata san's DrivingSPORTS S15 was not completed in time so he borrowed Fujio's RYO S14 for the day. Although the car had some transmission problems, K-san didn't care. First two runs were good but then, KAAABOOOOOM! there goes the tranny. Remember i mentioned before i was going to drive the white S14 Zenki but plans changed and i was going to hop into Yoshioka's S13....well we brought it as a back up and good thing we did because he continued to run in the S13 from Yoshioka. The car for some reason was very underpowered and we were wondering why until we notice a big ass hole in the turbo outlet....major power loss...so he tired his best qualifying 5th or 6th i think it was. I am so tired right now because woke up at 6am to head to Bihoku and doing it all over again tomorrow, but promise is a promise so enjoy.

Yah I have been to japan 4 times in the last 5 years and now my girlfriend just got a new job and moved back there.... Its cool the 1st time and most of the 2nd time, but 3rd 4th and 5th just seems like a third home.... Its busy all the time, hard to find a job, and everything is expensive. I mean you can eat cheap or eat expensive, but to eat healthy, is really not that easy I think... Our company gets about 1 container a month from these auctions, mostly hondas, but gtr's and stuff pass by. So basically if I had the funds, I could get any car I wanted and probably registered no problem....

But yah things look nice in the stores, just think how you going to haul it back to the room and back to the US... That is the toughest part... Can only look and drool over pats so much.....

But nice pictures though..... I Love the US, the air quality and life just seems better... especially when I live in tokyo when I go.

I drove Bihoku on Wednesday, day after D1SL. Was going to compete for D1SL but i figured no point because two reasons, one, of course i live in US so i can't do any D1SL events and two, the event was completely over booked so i would of not had a chance...and Kawabata san was last on the list because of late registration. His company, DrivingSPORTS is a sponsor for D1SL so they let him compete even though registration was closed. But we go to Bihoku again tomorrow!!!!

hey guys, yup....today is my last day here in this awesome ass country. Its to bad because i would love to live here forever but i do have a business to run when i get back. A lot of work and preparation has to be taken care of for our first container order, new website build up for Aero-K Garage, marketing ads needs to be done, my S13 has to be ready for Nopi rnd 1.....to much work, but hey it all will pay off i hope!

Okay guys, here is the last set of pics from my day in japan, Everybody decided to take me around and show me a good time for my last day, so morning we headed to have seafood bar-b-q on the beach in Japan and then we went to Himeji Castle to visit and take pictures, then we went to the Hot Springs area in the mountains but first had to stop by and had dinner at a local family Izakaya(bar/restaurant) then we decided to all get NAKED and hop in the hot springs which is natural hot water.....enjoy guys, i am very tired and going to sleep for me to be able to wake up at 6am to head to the airport since its a 3 hour drive from Tsuyama city. hahaha...yah NO!!!! Thanks Jerome for starting more rumors you bastard. What happened on the way back was pretty gay...I land in Detroit and of course its the first point of re-entry back into the US so i had to go through customs and immagrations. Well i am a canadian citizen entering with a canadian passport but a US Resident with an expired Greencard and paper saying i paid for the I-90 form which is a renewal for the Greencard and was waiting on papers for my N400 Naturaliztion forms....so they decided to do a search on my background and found i was arrested for Marijuana back in 2004. So they made me wait in customs room for over 3 hours and after everything was cleared they let me go which made me miss my flight from Detroit to Ft. Lauderdale.

So i had to re-book my flight and i had a 5 hour wait period before we boarded the plan to fly out at 9pm so i went to the Sky Bar in the airport to have a few beers, then got picked up by a horny married women who smoked some pot, decided to show me Detroit with a drive to her house for some smoking action:D

Then took my ass back to the airport so i can catch my flight, the first plane had engine problems so they had to ask everyone to leave the plane with all of their belongings to go on another plane, once all the luggage switch and everything was done, i didn't leave Detroit till 10:30pm...now i have been in the air and airport for over 20 hours already...i was starting to get delirious. I finally made it back with the worst Jet Lag which i still am feeling so tonight is an easy night with some friends coming over to Drink so Hot Saki...tomorrow I will be back to normal and will take care of all the pictures for the parts i brought over. Its good to be home, but definitely miss Japan like crazy....:(

I know how you feel. I felt the same when moved to Chicago couple years back. Met a damn hot girl, had a job and all. But after 2.5 months, i couldn't wait to get home. It might be different for everyone, but home is my home. =]
