do the norm.....oil pan, water pump, t-stat. chains if you have the skill. head gasket if you're really bored...

you are swapping the sr depending on the condition you should do certian things.

but are you talking about preparing the engine bay? or the sr motor? im really confused what you want to know.

either way if you search there are lots of threads about little things you should go ahead and do prior to swapping the motor

you're gonna need dohc brake lines, and a cluster. hit me up if you need the cluster...

You don't need the brake lines, you need the DOHC power steering lines and resevoir. You will need all of the clutch parts as well, which includes cutting a hole in the fire wall for the CMS.

Replace the Rear and Front main seal. Also, replace the gasket between the turbo manifold and turbo, that gasket is known to have problems, and it is a PITA to replace it when the car. I found this out the hard way on my 55k mi SR.

Why risk it? You can order the seals for your engine off http://www.courtesyparts.com/

Just do a search on sr20det.

im most likely going to have the swap done at a shop, not sure which, im in mass. and there aren't many choices. Anyway i would like to have the motor and trans. out when i drop it off and wanted to know what else should be removed or put in as far as the engine bay. thanks.
