someone help me, i have a 90 coupe and the guy i previously bought it from already had a silvia front end, problem was the headlights didn't go on becuz the wires were all cut short nd what not, here's the question, to get that wire fixed, do i have to buy brand new wiring harness and just replace the old one?

The wires on the headlights or the wires on the wiring harness? How short are they, since I'm assuming that they're the headlight wires? Is there room enough to splice into them? Do you know how to solder?

You have a few options, then. Since it's the actual wiring harness that was tampered with, I'd suggest getting a new harness altogether. They go for 40-50 bucks, and they're pretty readily available. It'd be a matter of unplugging everything under your hood, then going back and plugging in the new one. You can even do a mini wire tuck under your intake manifold if you're a neat freak.

I just wouldn't trust some "rewiring job" on the car's wiring harness, unless I personally did it. Good luck, bro.
