Does anyone know the part number or where I can get one of the S14 oh shit handles (for lack of a better word) As far as I know they came stock on the JDM cars on the left side (USDM Driver side) and stock on the german cars on the right side (USDM Pasenger side)
If neither of those, does anyone know if nissan put the same part on another car that made it to the US?
I'm looking to get both.

The handle is the same one used in the Maxima, Altima, Pathfinder, etc. but you won't find it in black, those cars all have gray roof/trim with the black interior. The bracket is chassis specific. I have one on each side of my car, I found a guy in the UK willing to pull/ship them.

both sides? wtf? are you too fat yourself to get ur ass outta your seat? ;)
sell me your driver side, which would be my passenger side :aw: unless your rhd
anyway, ive been trying to get one as well and havent had any luck with UK members so far. i havent tried in about a month, so i suppose i better start again. at any rate, why do you want one on your driver side? unless your rhd, that just doesnt make sense to me.

I'm not too fat, I'm very skinny actually. Buy it helps a lot from what I can imagine with getting in and out of bucket seats.

Nope, just wanted to have one on each side for symmetry. Plus, no one seems to have both sides, making my car a little more unique.

What is the real or technical name for the interior handle?

It would be hilarious if the FSM or parts guide listed it as...
"Right/Left Oh Shit Handle"

The bracket bolts right in on the driverside, easy shit. The trim panel will have to be cut though unless you get the UK/JDM piece, but they don't come with Apillar tweeters in most overseas markets so you'll have to ditch the speakers or cut and mold the two halves of each panel together to keep the tweeter grille and have a flush fit. I just trimmed mine out enough to accept the handle's spacers without having to mold in an indention, it looks fine but you can tell it's not a direct fit.
For the passenger side the bracket has to be redrilled, cut to accept a snap from the panel, then bent to follow the right contour unless you get the correct bracket for that side. You'll see when you get it what's required.
I have one extra handle I think, but no caps, spacers, or bracket if anyone wants it.
Or like I said, pull one from any other Nissan model to get the parts, but you'll still need the bracket unless you make one.

Can I see a pic of your's installed? Should I just ask for the whole trim piece with the speaker? I probably wouldn't even bother connecting the speakers.

i've been wondering about this for a long time. I'm definitely willing to try to fab up a bracket. I would love to see pics of the stock install so I have something to work from.

I've actually already got one guy willing to ship it to me :bigok:
The people in the UK sure are nice, just kinda odd how they call it breaking cars
I just got something from a U.K 200SX S14 breaking car. Most U.K guys are cool but some try to bump up the prices on certain items. Luckly the handle is small and light as for shipping is a bitch.

The opposite. Odds are you won't find one with the speaker. If you don't have them anyway then you're fine, though the shipping will cost more if you get the panel. The handle itself and hardware can go in a padded envelope. And they're not hard to get at all if you're nice about it. I got both of mine with all hardware, an extra handle, headlight aiming motor plugs, switch, plus a set of heated mirrors all for $40 from the seller who responded, all you have to do is not come off as a typical American fucktard. So ya, I guess for a lot of the forum members that would be hard.
I don't have any pictures, and they wouldn't really show much since the handle covers up the cutouts I made. After you mount the bracket you can place the panel up and easily see where to drill, then expand from there to accept the spacers by cutting a rectangular hole.
Any pics? My S14 dosen't have this? Or maybe I'm confused what you guys are talking about???

I had the left side on my s14. Got it from Brian. Shit was really helpful if you have a bucket seat.

Actually the center consoles from 96 models had the slit for the dividers as well. Just not the 95 (and under in Japan).

It's still on the s14 but the car now belongs to Alex7 on here.

My s14 was a 96 and I had the divider too. Helped a TON keeping Calpico and soda cans secure :D
Damn, I have a 95. What divider is this? I feel left out...

you know... '97-'98 had coin holders instead of button blanks next to the mirror controls too...
I got both the divider and coin holders in my '96

It's not an exact science. My 95 model had the slit, so did my 96. My 97 did not. Out of the three dozen S14s I've parted it's been hit or miss.
