Hi, just got myself a bucket seat and was wondering if there are any companies that sell harness bars for a decent price? The bar that hooks up just right behind the seats and connects to opposite ends of the car where the seat belts are bolted into. thanks

In theory that bar is ok, but I really don't like the bracket that mounts to the pillar.

Look in the Fab thread. I have pics of the one I made.
On the bar in the pic above, where do you mount your harnesses? Are the still bolted to the floor?

They are clip in style but yes they are still bolt to the floor.

It'd be a fixed welded bracket, non-movable. The NRG one is made that way because they use the same bar on numerous vehicles. We purchased one and sent it back because of the design.
I've been meaning to start making one, but it takes time to get everything going..

^If you are going to weld it in, why not just do a cage?
The metal would also need to be reinforced for it also cause it is mostly "sheet metal" around where that bolt hole is.

^^^ Because you can fab up a welded harness bar for like $10 and it will only take like 1 hr to make. A real CAGE takes a few hundred dollars in metal/supplies and if you do it right, from scratch, It will take a SUPER long time to fabricate.

Like veilside said the nrg bar is a universal bar. They make 3 different lengths.
The HBR-003 is the one that is "made" to fit a 240.

Justin @ Position 1 in Port Orchard will fabricate you a great harness bar, paint it a color you like etc. for a great price. For a level of awareness, the Falken/Silk Road S13.5 Haruguchi drives had the cage fabricated by Justin Elin. www.position1.net
tell him Komron referred you ;)
