if you want to wait a few weeks most stores will do end of season clearance sales. they are usually cheaper than what websites will charge since you have to pay shipping.
i went to big 5 the other day and they had all snowboard gear almost 50% off of marked down prices.

I'd say you could buy my brand new Burton Se7en 155, but it's a little out of your price range.
What kind of board are you looking for?
You might want to consider a wide board.
Are you just starting out?
I bought my board from eternalsnow.com years ago. They have great customer service.
If you want a nice deal, I'd go with the-house.com for sure. I don't know if anyone will beat their prices. They started carrying a lot of quality companies too.

If you dont need the gear for this season just wait and come to LA for the Ski Dazzle convention in november/december. Things are dirt cheap there

well I kinda do need a board and bindings and boots for this season, the snow up here in tahoe has gotten a lot better! but yeah this is my first board, and so i want it last me for a good 2 years from now. and i dont really do tricks or anything, so just freeride. do any of you like arbor? i hear they are really good, but also the forum recon board looks pretty good and i can get it for like 150...

if you are *green, try makboards.com - clear see through boards. Pretty cool when I saw it in person but it sort of expensive. However it is recyclable and enviromentally friendly. I want one, but I rather ride a Banana (its a board, made from lib technology where the bottom of the board is rounded instead of the traditional flat).

active is fairly priced with awesome selection of all the freshest gear

I know you said you been to this website, but did you see the sale going on?
http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/tag/cheap-snowboards-0.asp
50-70% off sale on seconds which have no effect on board performance. Stupid shit like scratches on the top of the board, that will happen anyways once a crackhead runs over your board while you are waiting for the lift.
Also buy used on CL. People always go out buy top gear and find out they suck and sell.

Yeah, they do have a crazy-ass sale, but I think I found what I'm gonna get....It's a Forum Recon, Burton Freestyle bindings, and Thirtytwo prion boots! it'll come out to like 365 and free shipping! but what is CL btw?

Another one that I use religiously use is
www.buysnow.com
Theyre www.buywake.com 's sister company and Ive spent so much money there its not even funny.
Its also good to see what you like, what looks good together, and then browse ebay with model numbers.

0100, good fucking shit. +1 for you
Exactly some of the stuff Ive been looking for, Gnu and LibTech are by far my two favorite board companies and theyve got some great deals on 'em. I might just have to cop for next season.
BTW, CL = Craigslist.org

When's that Ski Dazzle convention?? I'm in the market for a new board n boots for next season, ive been running a setup where my bindings (Burton Custom Limiteds) were more expensive than my board n boots combined >.<
I'm probably gonna go with a Burton Custom and Burton Ruler boots. anybody check out REI.com? they have some good deals too
