Clear S13 Side markers??

Are they legal to use instead of the stock yellow? and if so...where might I find a decent priced pair online? I don't wanna spend 60-80 on a set like I've seen just because the damn housing is a different colour.

i don't think so. you're supposed to have a marker that reflects yellow when seen from the side. i doubt you'll ever be ticked or pulled over for it.

the ML320 (mercedes) side markers fit with a little work. i don't remember the cost, but they're cheaper than most aftermarket options.

No, clear side markers/turn signals are not illegal if you use yellow bulbs, if you use clear bulbs than yes it would be. I would go with the mercedes ones: http://www.myeuroparts.com/CatalogKW/CatalogResults.aspx
On the merceds ones you'll have to either shave down the markers a little or the hole in the fender, but it's minimal shaving that you could do with a file, no power tools needed.
There's a few companies that make them for the 240s like URAS, but youre going to spend close to $100

oh and i think they make side markers for 240's now for alot cheaper now haha


there about 20 bucks wen a pair of benz ml side markers are about? 30 to 40 shipped. ahha cheap back in the day when mods were expensive....

yeah, alright. It's weird how the only clear side markers sold for the 240 are so damn expensive. I saw a cheaper pair on ebay a while back, and am kicking myself for not getting them...

I had ORIGIN (they make 2 differnt models) clear markers on my black 240, they didnt look so hot...kinda make it look a bit tacky. I ordered some JDM oem amber ones with the hump... they look much better! :)

A buddy of mine had OEM JDM Clear fender lights, looked soo nice on his black car. I'v tried looking for them, but its next to impossible to find now.

I've got clears on everything but the tail lights, and I pretty much hate them.

Mostly because my car is black so they look taaaacky. The guy before me had them on their but there are more important things to replace before them.

Lookin for some "JDM" OEM ones.

don't know about canada, but in the US, from what I've read, DOT requires a yellow reflector on the front of the car that is visible from the side.

I've been looking for them too but I'm about ready to give up because I don't want to spend $70 for some Origins. Oh well. I found the Helix website but no place to buy them. Plus for some reason they don"t look that good to me.

Ebay, though I haven't seen them on there in a while.

And I'm glad people hate them, but I think it compliments the car nicely, especially when I had a front bumper with clear turn signals.

It's so funny to see the anti-clear light backlash in the Japanese import community after Hondas blew up with that stuff in the mid-late 90s.

I'm all about the european(or rest of the world actually) clears on my E36 M3. I think clear lights look good on S13s/S14s, but to each his own really.

FYI, look around for Altimas too. The 93-97 Altima uses the same exact front sidemarker as the S13.
The ML lights look great IMO, and you can break the inner reflector out to get rid of the orange glow.
The best bet though is to weld them up. Nothing better than a clean fender with no tacky lights on it at all.
