unknown turbo

Well not sure if I should post this in the Identify this thread or tech talk cause I want to know what this turbo is but I also want to talk about the specs. So mods if its in the wrong place please move.

so here is a I think a T3 non ball bearing turbo but not sure how to read the specs (noob Q: sorry) but yea need some help I was told it was off the old 300zx

looks just about worthless enough to come off of a Z31.

throw it away.

haha no shaft play. and I would never throw a good turbo (working) you can alway find something to use it on.

You need to show pics of the numbers on the turbine and the compressor housings

Its an RB20 Turbo I got one

show the serial numbers. that should tell it all. Also looks like the seals could be done for judging by the oil remains. GL

will do however Ive been looking online and think more and more that this is the z31 vg30det turbo

My thoughts exactly. Probably the same small ass T3 that came on the RB20, peak power output probably 250hp. It's basically a small T3 hot side with a constrictive-ass compressor - useless.

Lol @ the oil residue on that thing. Toss it or send it out to ported.
