ok, so i've searched and read, and found nothing.
people talk about flexing over fenders to get more clearance, but flex at where?
do you push the sides closer together?
do you push the inside corners higher?
to the people who has done this before, please explain
thanx in advance

you move the side pieces in closer so the arch 'bulges' out more

what the fuck ^^
you never make sense when you post omfg
anyways
you can compress the overfender a bit so it bulges out more
or you can push it in so its not as wide
say you have 30mm you can push it into a 10mm or compress to 50mm if you really wanted to
1000th post omg

alright thanx guys
so its normal if the inside corners (near the arches) to start climbing a little higher when you compress the over fender?
also, would it be easier to rivet the upper portion of the over fender, THEN compress the over fender? or should i compress the over fenders, rivet the bottm while its compressed, THEN rivet the top?

Follow the idea of "measure twice, cut once"... it would probably help if you had a buddy or two helping you so they can hold it down while you see where you want ur fenders and drill/rivet appropriately.
You do realize if you just stopped and thought about it for like 2 minutes, it should all be common sense, right?

yea, i knew that. i was just asking if it would be EASIER or not to just rivet the top first, then have 2 of my buddies compress the fender for me, while i rivet, thinking it would lessen the chance of having the over fender "shift" a little in the process of drilling/riveting

please just measure multiple times before riviting at all. or fiberglassing. you would rather have it come out perfect then to come out like shit just cuz you were impatient, goodluck!

just tape the the overfender to the car with masking tape
get it to how you please and hold it then tape
then do the rivets

thanx man, you're the only person thats on the same page as me.
the only problem with using tape is that it still shifts as you compress the overfender. i was thinking that by riveting the top portion of the fenders, shifting won't be as big as a problem, since the top will be all set.
