my brake lights dont work for some reason and its not the bulbs or the fuse... im such a newb =0(

hey man i have a similar problem, also my night time running lights dont work as well.. i'm not very good with the electrical system of the car. I will probably take it to a shop soon..

hmmm, do the tailights at least light up when you have your headlights on?
There is a little rubber stopper thing on the brake pedal that hits a button when the pedal is depressed turning on the brake lights. It falls apart over time and most replace it, like I did, with a nut and bolt so you'll never have to deal with it again. You can also buy the piece at the dealership if you would rather go that route.

where is this part under brake pedal?? my brake lights work when i brake just not when headlights or daytime runners/parking lights are on.....my dash doesnt work either so i dont know if thats connected to that same brake thing ur talking about

double check your fuses...just because a fuse "looks good" doesnt mean it works

be shure to check everything is grounded right. Sometimes the light bulb sockets are not screwed in tight enough

s13 coupes dont exactly have the best taillight design. Usually the plastic melts around the screw interfering with the grounding. So take off the screws and scrape off the melted plastic with a razor blade. When you reassemble you can insert little washers to slow down the process. I have to do this every 6 months or so.

I have the hippo sleek led tails and all of the bulbs are in working order....i have taken my entire dash apart nothing....idk maybe i should set it on fire and be done w/it :-/

^^i have been....besides the obvious places anywhere in particular.....after 4 yrs im seriously thinking about giving up on this car...very frustrating

the wiring in the tail light housing itself can go bad. one of my brake lights doesnt work cuz of this.

if when i take it to a nissan dealership it will be to trade it in lol....dealerships have a nice way of charging out the ass (i worked at one before, no not a mechanic/tech either)

honestly i just switched out all fuses pulled entire dash apart again......took my headlight wires apart,side marker lights apart,brake light wiring....pulled it all apart and elctrical taped and just made sure everything was making perfect connection...after that switched out all fuses good or bad didnt matter...lo and behold eveything worked so i hooked up my boost controller and boost gauge...today was good day
