wtf? Please explain me why would i want to pay $800 for an hks hyper muffler if i can get the whole fuckin hks hyper catback system for $450?!?! I asked a valid question, so how about u stfu huh? Or at least explain me what's the deal with these.

P.S. When somebody sells something for like $300 when it costs $200 elsewhere and $100 on ebay, i don't have a problem with that. You are just overpricing your product. But when u are selling that same thing for $800 and that being $300 more expansive than a very good catback system, the question arises whats so special about this muffler that it costs so much? If you cared to read carefully, that's exactly what you would read in my post. But you had to come off like a total ass after prolly not reading it to the end.

I'm agreeing with Kreator here....I'd hate to hear a newbie buying someone's HKS Hiper exhaust for 800 bucks...that wouldn't be high priced, that would be a rip off...and I don't think we really want people ripping off our members.

You might be right. I just think it would have been more respectfull to email the seller as opposed to post. It's happened a lot on for sale topics and things never turn out good.

And how do you know Kreator isn't a potential buyer? by posting, respectfully, in the thread, everyone can see that the posted amount is in question...

and I really think how Kreator and I asked him is quite respectable, neither one of us got in his face, just asking why the pricing is so high...unless it's not US dollars. Now if Kreator had thrown some vulgarity, or calling him an outright scammer, then yes, that would have been uncalled for, but he didn't.

also...out of curiosity, why didn't you PM or email Kreator rather then questioning him in public? or is it that once someone replies that rule is no longer in effect?

I think that in the case of bargaining, it should be taken to email or PM. But if it's a legit question (which in this case I feel it is based on the potentially gross overpricing), there shouldn't be a problem with questioning the correctness of this sellers post. It's not like he said "800 is too much, but I'll give you 80 bucks for it". I felt he asked in a civilized manner whether the pricing was correct.

civickilla, i think u and foxcolt are missing what i was trying to ask. Like i said, if he was overpricing by like a little, i wouldn't care more. But when i saw him selling it for like 4 times what it costs in other places, i was wondering whether it's some completely DIFFERENT product that i never heard off and whose price IS actually $800. And at that point i was just curious what the product is made off so that it becomes so expensive. that was just for my general knowledge.

And in my post i asked if he made a mistake on the pricing (thus correcting him if he actually did) or to explain me what these products are if they arent really the products that i was thinking of. And i think that both parts of my question were relevant, cuz the first one gave him a heads up to correct the pricing if it was wrong, and the second asked the question that probably most people watching this thread would be interrested in. I never posted anything like "you can get this muffler at this shop for this price". That would be interfering with the sale, and i would understand the flames coming if i did that. But just asking a valid question, i don't see anything wrong with that.

My one and only point is that any question regarding the validity if the seller or the sellers price should be taken up with with the seller and not made public regardless of what kind of question.

Then once the matter is settled then changes to the post and/or additions should be made.

They call exhaust systems mufflers in japan. Hes selling an intercooler for an S15... did anyone ever think MAYBE hes from japan?? Dont get on his shit. Most places charge around 630-650 for the hiper exhaust (japanese version). The intercooler may be a bit much, but its also quite big. iirc the GT Intercooler is the larger of the 3 or 4 that HKS makes. That being with the Type R the 2nd largest.

Also...please enlighten us what the difference between the JDM and USDM HKS Hiper exhausts are? Mine was shipped to me from Japan, in fact, besides the shipping label, I can't read a damn thing in the box...for 450 shipped. If you're paying 650 for a "japanese version" of the HKS exhaust, you're getting ripped off...plain and simple.

as for thinking he's maybe in Japan...hence the reason for my question...and I assumed he was talking exhaust systems...not the muffler....it would HAVE to be mexican peso's if that was the case....

The difference between the Hiper from japan and the american version is 20mm. I wouldnt post that if I hadnt known it. Also Jspec is selling their Hiper (japanese) for 630 dollars. Yes 800 is a bit pricey, but maybe he doesnt know how much we can get them for if he does infact live outside of the US.

No.. That's not a good idea.
What is a good idea is people minding their business, or reporting the post to a moderator... there are only 9 of us, and most can be found at any time. &nbsp;I have my aim name, email address, and pm features readily available, as do most other mods. &nbsp;I am also online anytime I'm not in school (2-4 hours a day, 1 hour periods).
If we disabled replies in the FS section... how would people know what is sold? &nbsp;How would someone ask for pics? &nbsp;Do you wanna be the seller on dial-up who has to upload dozens of pics to people who are asking, but probably won't buy them? &nbsp;Get dozens of questions about the same thing? &nbsp;The best you'd be able to do is edit your post a hundred times.
Seriously... people need to stop bieng vigilantes and leave it to people that can do something other than sling mud, name call, and flame.

My presumption is that this forum was designed to assist fellow enthusiasts--a community of sorts. &nbsp;

I agree with some of the comments of others above. &nbsp;If someone is asking ridiculous prices, a few flames just might adjust/realign the seller's mindset. &nbsp;Either he is looking to score a quick kill (what I call 'hit and run' business), he is completely out of touch with reality (real market), looking for an unsuspecting buyer, or perhaps he posted the price in error. &nbsp;Nevertheless, I want to know. &nbsp;Information is golden and isn't this what the primary purpose of the forum is...to help others?

Meanwhile, www.TwinTurbo.net seems to have success with their Classifieds. &nbsp;No reply posting allowed and once the item has been sold, the seller is requested to delete it.
