does single cam harness work with dual cam

does the single cam ka haness work with a dual cam motor... also does the single cam trans mount to the dual cam ka..any ideas

a lot of shit's different. every injector plug is different, the coolant temp sensor plug is different, depending on what your kaDE comes out of you may have a distributor with an internal or external coil, the maf plug is different, the dash plug is different.....

to do the swap...you need a dohc motor, a dohc ecu, and a dohc harness.....you can't even fabricate your own sohc harness to work a dohc because you would need a dohc harness to steal injector plugs and all the other various plugs i just mentioned off of. so right there you need a dohc motor and a dohc harness to even get that far. is it much more to get a dohc ecu?

course not.

the only thing u don't necessarily have to get is a tranny, you can use your sohc tranny cause they're the same, use your sohc lower harness and thats it.

rule of thumb here:

-ka24(single or dual) blocks are the same......

-sr20 blocks(rwd or fwd) are also the same....

-vg30(single or dual), again the same....

.........the only differences are the heads, whether they be classified as single or dual, fwd or rwd... just remember that if it has a different head on it or if it's turned 90 degrees to the right the harness will be different and the opposing trannies( or bell housings) will be the same....
