Well its been done for a while now but I'm bored now so I thought I'd share my build with ya'll for those interseted.

I picked up a real 180SX for 500 bucks when I was living in Japan. Riped the engine and drive train out and shipped it home piece by piece.

So you guys over in Japan it its possible to bring back an SR for less than $600 shipping.

all ya gotta do is break it down into 70 LBS shipments

New Update My Split Fire Ignition System came in today ^_^
Installation was Quick and easy Fires right up first time
RPM's actually increased by 150-200. Idle's at a steady 900RPMS

Only drove it for 10 mins so far
RPM's are more stable, With A/C RPM's recover quckier, RPM transition to Idle after driving is steady and smooth (might fix the bogging stall some of yall have when going to neutral)

So Finally after a year i get a body kit for my bumperless S13.
I dont normally care about looks until after the engine and suspension is finished.
Only waiting on Injectors, Cam's and my PFC tune

But I'm tired of driving around bumperless

Anyway it was kinda cool I first ordered the Version Select Version 3 kit just cuz it cheaper and its my Drift car. Ive ordered alot of parts from them so they gave me a discount on my order.
But got an Email a day later saying they are out of stock of the Version 3 kit and that they will upgrade to the Origin Agressive Kit for FREE.
So that was kinda cool of them.

Finally got it today!!
Took long enough to do so, it took a month after ordering it for it to get here.

lol whenever i've seen pics of your car around the forum and in your sig and stuff and through various lurkings, i was always like damn, he built up his engine, susp, and brakes, i wonder if he's ever gonna get a bumper

hooray! please take some detailed shots so you can update your thread. noone really takes details of the modifications they do when fitting a kit. i'll be subscribing so do it this weekend!

Thanks Everyone If it not raining this weekend I'm gonna start the install

Im wanting to paint and wet sand the Aero Blue Since that will be the final color for the car.
So hopefully i'll have the patience to do it and it not take forever lol so the car might be black and blue for a while lol.

I gotta get the car to a frame shop to get the front end pulled up, Upper core support and front end is pushed about an inch or so down -o- I just hope the front bumper doesnt sit too low

S14 works on either S13 or 14

Battle Version only makes the S14 design since obviously he only has to make one version to support 2 cars

I wouldn't mind the S14 version once in a while, cause stupid S13 full circle design makes it hard to adjust lower coilover perch sometimes haha

But yeah if a manufacturer made a S13 and S14 version and I had a S13, obviously get S13 first, but for Battle Version it works on both so all good

Why don't you just use a stock rear bumper support?

I do that now, but with the aero on I believe It covers the tow hook

So I was thinking modifying the rear bumper support and welding a 2 in square tubing to the support in the middle So I can jack it from there without doing the 2x4 thing.

But I've never seen the design of the rear bumper support so I need to take it off and take a look
So im not sure if its possible

Yes the driverside is lower than the passenger side, the front is tweaked a little bit, but most of the reason is the bumper is catchin on the intercooler pipe (No Biggie) I bought a new upper core support I need to take it to a shop and get it pulled up and welded up

What do ya'll think should I begin painting the Kit Blue and wet sand it since that will be the ending color, or just paint it black??? It might be black and blue for a while though, and its my DD

I did a little bit of the front bumper to see how it would turn out, Im still on the fence about it
I'm trying to go for the GTR Blue, so far it looks ok, pretty glossy for just one coat I think with a little wet sanding it will look pretty good?

Alright So I only got the rear bumper on cuz weather started to look bad.

Start by removing the four bolts holding the bumper support (two on each side) 14mm

Then remove the 6 nuts(10mm) (3 on each side)

On the passenger side there is a black box (vent thingy)
there are two 10mm nuts on the top
Remove that and get the other 3 nuts

Remove bumper, before pulling bumper compeletly off disconnet the two wires for the licence plate lights

Fucking Tow hook:bash: (I'll cut it off later)
*There are also two bolts located on this tow hook you have to remove

undo the crapload of 10 mils from the top of the bumper cover and the weird screw wedge thingys at the bottom and pull the licence plate lights wires through the bumper support dont forget the licence plate too

So instead of using zip ties I reused the bumper cover holder thingys

depending on your kit you might have to waller the holes around until you get a good fit ment

Just shipping the engine home Only, but my $600 inculded all my parts and acessories

Ex: Turbos, Intercooler, Spare Parts, Exhaust, Body Parts


If only the engine it would probably only cost you .....300-400 bucks?? cheaper than $600 though

So if you own a 180SX or can pic one up for cheap you can ship the engine and parts home for around $600

But it requires complete dissasembly of the Engine and breaking the Transmission in half.

I havent got very far since the first coat

but the process I will be doing is

Sand body with 250 grit
then 400
2x of paint
wet sand 800
2x more coats
wet sand 1,000 then 2,000

Well its been awhile since I've updated (if anyones cared lol)

I feel like sharing this... Went to Mineral Well last month for a Drift day and on the way home I had 2 of my exhaust bolt fall out (one from the DP-Cat, and Cat-Cat-Back)
so the damn this was draggin home on my 6 hour drive home :bash:

well i had to be at work by 11 that night, so i had no time to find a home depot and of course I didnt have any spare bolts long enough. I tried stickin 3/8 rachet extension and zip tieing them down and sticking screw drivers and zip tieing those....with no luck they kept falling out. (RIP)

So I dragged the damn thing for about 100 miles until the cat flang was catchin on the uneven roads So I pulled over for the 3rd time and ripped the damn off on the interstate and crammed it in the back with my other 8 drift rims.

probably the only good thing coming of this is better ground clearance

Sup peep kinda a little update, I finally have all my parts for my tune until I decided that I might as well upgrade to a GT2871R since i want more power and not spend the money twice on a tune so my plan is to get tuned around Christmas Time.

But I did Upgrade my lights I had some nice H3C I picked up in Japan but one burned out So I decided to Upgrade to an HID Kit.

Well I dont understand why ppl say that HID's in Silvia Light suck, Mine are F-ing Incredible. Amazing upgrade from regular Halogens.

They are 30mm R33 Calipers (Same as Z32 TT) I pulled them off an R33.

I dont see why it would matter what side it is stamped on.
In the pic of the them being installed they were tested fitted but were on the wrong side when I took the pics.

watch out for that brake clearance, the heat may make some things expand naturally or what not and that caliper may come in contact with the wheel If you notice any problems id either shave a bit off of the caliper or get spacers.

No other Pic other than these lol I was excited to get it in.

Install was alright but kinda a bitch, atleast for putting the tranny back due to the clutch being thicker so the input shaft was harder in get to the center of the clutch and the bell housing getting caught on the tranny tunnel.

So we had to jack up on the feont fo the engine to angle to engine back.

Pedal feel is not bad, i was expecting it to be worse but i guess with the combination of a full SS line from MS-SS and a Z32 Slave it helps alot.

Diengagement is REALLY low its like 1/2in from the bottom of the pedal and slave is pretty much maxed out (fully extended)
Im thinking moving the slave forward towards the fork to make the diengagement sooner?

I made 363whp and 332ftlbs tourqe on STOCK CAMS @ 1.5 Bar

Engine is Built minus the Cams, running Power FC w/Boost Controller
But all specs are pretty much listed in the first post

No Dyno Sheet right now
Its Still in Alabama at my Tuner due to UPS being bitches and not picking up my software and datalogit from Rotary Performace and geting to me before I had to leave back to Louisiana,

Yeah I'm still not a 100% sure on them, I kinda feel like im mixing Agressive with Stylish.

I just wanted some wide rims with good offset and cheap.

15 mil is too much for the rear, the rim sits flush with the fenders I just need to drop it down an inch and add some more negitve camber

The front although needs maybe a 5 mil spacer

I dont care you dont like them. it my car. Yes they are cheap I paid $500 for them New. So what? I dont really care I just wanted 9.5 rim that fits good.

I like the Z33's but they widths are weak sauce ans they would need like 2in spacer up front and a 1 in in the rear.

These New ones i dont need to use any, although a 1/4in F&R would make them better.

Turns out Stance Makes the Z32 lower Fork for the coilovers so i can just bolt everything up and get the 2+2 E-Cable, So that makes everything eaiser ^o^

Well i finally got the Z32 rear brakes installed(2 months ago) , combined with a Z31 Master Cylinder. Braking is amazing

Also got the E brake cables bolted up. just bought some aluminum at lowes measured and drill works like a charm.

But new problem as arisen...kinda, for a long time now I was having exhaust gases leaking into my coolant system.

Well this kinda a hit or miss, but I tried re-torqueing down the Head studs again hoping it would seal it..... well Nope I ended up warping my head go figure

So I picked up some 180SX Power Folding Mirrors while I was in Okinawa.

Wire colors are the same for the Mirror Adjustments, The Blue and Green are for the folding motor.

The switch plug is the same as the 180SX one folding one minus 3 wires for the folding motor.

Now instead of just cutting off the USDM to swap on the J-Spec one, you can just Re-Pin the 3 wires.

Here are the 3 wires.

Start by unlocking the plug to gain access to the wire pin lock tab inside.

Then find a small solid object able to reach the wire pin lock tab,

For running the wires to the switch I was trying my damnedest to try and use wires in the OE door harness but the Passenger side is a PITA to get to the Dash side plug of the Door without taking shit apart. So as much as I hated to do it I had to run the wires on the outside of the OE harness.

Well seems like its time to retire the old Fastback, Gonna be a little though since it was my first USDM S-Chassis chassis Been wanting to for a while since the Front end has always been jacked up and my liking to Coupes more.

So i picked up this Dookie Chassis from a friend for a a few hunndred. One big issue was the broken back glass which most of us know are hard to obtain due to Nissan and other glass companies not making them, well lucky for me a Coupe poped up in a junk yard here locally and I was able to snatch it up ^_^

Haha, there it is! . So weird seeing it in bossier. Looks a little higher, thought i was tucking in the rear. Need to pick up some shorter springs i guess. That was as low as it would go, collars removed and springs drooped.

So I almost cried the other day when i was installing my Moroso Oil pan.
I drained all the oil into a Open drain pan, scrapped off all the old RTV, Installed the pan and when I was cleaning up and pouring the old oil into a container I see some little metal like shards in the bottom of the drain pan.... My heart dropped and got really sad thinking im gonna have to pull then engine and do a rebuild :( finished pourin the oil into the container so I can get a better look at the shavings, Picked it up to find out it was little pieces of RTV... Never felt so relived in my life

Finally able to get the Coupe out to an event, Need to tweak the suspension alittle bit though, But handled way better than the Fast back. Def need some wider tires as well.

Bought an ISIS fan w/Shroud set.

Dont seem very good for Drifts cars.

On our small track my temps when from 75*C to 97*C after 2 laps sometimes having to shut down early.

My old fan setup didnt go above 87*C

Just seems like the fans dont pull enough CFM.

Looks and fits real good though.

Not sure, but I read that you can use the KA cruise bits and just splice the cruise box into the speedo line from the SR ECU and cruise works again. Anyway, my car was swapped when I got it, so I never had those bits.
