Frequent Flyer Miles

So I have made about 3 trips from Iraq to the U.S. round trip on KLM and Northwest Airlines (they are partners). But up until now I never thought about signing up for a miles program (don't ask me why just never crossed my mind). I just signed up so I can use them for my next R&R, but my question is can I get retroactive miles if I still have the tickets/itinerary? I've been looking on NWA.com but can't find anything. Thanks for your help.

Pretty sure its 6 months. CHeck the world perks website or give them a call.
