So we got a '95 240SX 5-spd less than a month ago. Now this is our first sports car, so we are not sure how low its supposed to be.

For some reason, the car seems pretty low. I dunno if its supposed to be that low, but I'm not used to it. Also the car exhibits very little body roll when turning, but the ride is pretty smooth. Its not bouncy or extremely harsh. Is this normal for a 95 240SX (it has abs, lsd, 5-lugs, and 5-spd). Does it have a sport suspension from the factory??

Can I tell if its stock or not?? How is the stock suspension on a 95 240SX anyway? I have no way to compare since its extremely rare for me to see one.

Your car should have come with front and rear sway bars (little ones but still sway bars) so i'm sure that helps it corner flatter. Also Here (http://www.steamymirror.com/dsc240sx/images/s14-3.jpg) is a pic of my 240 with stock suspension, i'd say if yours doesn't look lower than its probably stock suspension...only way I know to tell.

an se in the states has the lsd, white face gages, sunroofs and such

If the s14 struts are anything like the s13s then NISSAN should be engraved on them somewhere. Remove a wheel and check a strut for the word Nissan. As for the springs, check if they say Eibach or some other manu otherwise they're probably stock.

The 240sx does sit much lower than most cars, so it's perfectly normal to feel the car is low.

wasn't NismoS14 referring to the sway bars? and now you're talking aboot the struts?

I only mentioned the struts because maddindian asked if there was a way to tell if the suspension was stock or not and I told him how to check.

As for sway bars, all S13s and S14s have front and rear swaybars,
except base S14's which don't have a rear swaybar.

Thanks for all the help guys!! When the guys at the tire place where putting in winter tires, I checked out the struts. It looked oem (it was black and I could not make out any lettering on them).

I have a Canadian 240SX LE that has white faced guages, lsd, abs, sunroof, 6-speakers, 5-lug rims (#### nice rims for a stock car), 5-spd. I'm guessing it has a sport suspension also. Not sure about it though, but it feels sporty! This car handles great.

btw the winter tires I put on are Nokian Hak1s on 15-inch steelies. Once I put them on, it stopped snowing here in Toronto!! Dammit snow!!!

Btw are there any other guys from Toronto here? Is there a Toronto 240SX club??

Thanks again.
