was wondering if there is anyone that is using an aftermarket Heads Up Display...and if so, what brand, what are the pros and cons of the unit you are using....

im looking into a HUD, was gonna go with the Defi VSD X

doesnt that also display liek Boost, oil temp, press, etc etc?
i thought i read something about it somewhere

i HEARD(the keyword here) u can get different control modules for it that also display other information like the ones u mentioned right now....(but dont quote me on that)

they look great, except when you mount em where your gauge cluster it...then what the point? thats the only place ive seen em mounted...there was a unit and gauges for sale not long ago for a good price. not sure if its still there. i would have picked it up for shizzle if i didnt need wheels and suspension first.

So could you use this for swaps? I'm doing a 2jz swap and won't be able to use my stock Speedo.

isn't there a guy on this site who molded the display unit into his hub? it looked really damn amazing, you could still clearly see the gauges behind it too.

can you use a HUD from an s13? i heard there's a way of adapting the dohc HUD to work with a SR, so could it be applied here?

yeah, its in a white coupe...he replaced the stock gauges with defi gauges

can you use a HUD from an s13? i heard there's a way of adapting the dohc HUD to work with a SR, so could it be applied here?

i would rather not because id like to be able to have it project other things such as boost, oil temp etc etc like Grant posted earlier

Didn't they change the design of it? I think the 1st gen screen was more projection onto the glass and the second version has that plastic thing..... This was almost 1 year ago the OG version.

yah Broadfield set his car up using the HUD unit and can switch b/w different readings of the sensors. both metric and imperial
