ok its been about three months this has been going on, my SR kind of bogs and has retarded throttle response when its cold. sometimes i have to hit the gas a couple times to start it others its just starts up right away,my idle drops from 1200 to 1000RPMs not suddenly just throughout when im driving.no jumpy idle.just when its cold and try to hit the gas it lags for the revs to go up. I think its the AICV or TPS..Thanks for tha help.

in the SR20det Factory Service Manual there is a section that helps you troubleshoot issues like having power loss when your engine is cold. You can download this in many places, try zeroyon.com. It's hard for me to think of what is causing your engine to do that. You'll have to go and troubleshoot. Search google and this forum for answers. When was the last time you changed your spark plugs?

Spark plugs changed 6 months ago ngk ir. no power loss.

1200 is a high idle, FYI. Vacuum/boost leak. Look really, really hard.

um.... wouldn't a vac leak make the idle unstable and engine shaky. vac is at 20 but then sometimes its at 25?

When does your vacuum read 25??? At idle 20 seems just fine. Try hooking up a boost leak tester and looking around for any boost leaks.

when i floor it and reaches full boost, then i release the gas the sometimes goes to 25 vac.
