Hi,
I just picked up a 1990 Hatch and and fixing all the little things. This hose is broken - what does it do? It's right under the exhaust manifold - you can see the dipstick. Does anyone have a SOHC parts car who can sell me a good one? Thanks, Todd

Look like the AC line comming right of the condensor. Take if of of the condensor side and find out exactly where it goes (sorry I don't have an S13) Then you should be able to find it at any junkyard. Shouldn't be to hard to replace.

I have one I just took out of my 1990. I'd give it to you but it'd probably cost more in shipping the stupid thing then to just go to your local Pick-A-Part and get it from them.

I think that it's probably the EGR connection to the exhaust manifold. OR more likely is the pipe that runs from the AIV valve to the pipe between the manifold and the cats.

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't see the pic. It's the ac line.

AC line, for sure.

Question is: how the f*ck did it get like that?

Yeah, that is an AC line. I'm not sure from what to where, but theres no doubt what it is. Does it look cut or torn? Has your car ever had its motor pulled or a replacement put in?

That is a service port on the AC line. Used to fill and bleed the system.

Uh-oh... Someone is not going to have air-conditioning for their defroster when it gets cold and wet. Definitely, A/C condenser line as mentioned above.
