WTB: Reliable Daiy Driver (NON s-chassis) under 2500

ok so my daily driver honda accord is just giving me reliability issues. so it is time to let the old 1987 ride go. so does anyone here have a reliable daily driver for less then 2500? i really dont want another 240, mainly because i'll end up modifying it (i dont want another project). something with good gas mileage, very reliable, is something i am looking for. i will also trade the honda +cash if need-be. the car runs, however, it needs carb work, new alternator and possibly battery, and has an exhaust leak where the header meats the exhaust. it gets great gas mileage but just isn't reliable to me anymore. my job is 15miles away from home and it juts sucks getting stuck in between. if someone here has a reliable car, please let me know.
