thats my buddy benny's car. yashio factory wont give up the paint mix, so he has his bodyshop (wings performance) try the best they could...and added a little pearl in the mix to break things up. still one of the best paintjobs ive seen.

good luck :)

Why is everyone always trying to copy colors made famous by companies?

Top Secret Gold
Takata Green
Yashio Pink

If you want to paint shit on your car pink, just go find a pink color in the store and buy it. Then paint your little heart out

Big tuner shop need to start changing their paint color on every demo car they build.

I just can't understand why anyone would want to duplicate the color of a "Shop Car", when their car was not built by that shop. Seems very poser-like to me.

just find something that looks similar. or go with another shade of pink. plenty out there that look good.

well...maybe its not just going after that look, ya know?

not everyone can picture something in their head, knowing how its going to turn out. and a paint job can be a big investment, and can make or break a cars look. (not saying that all people aren't trying to rip off a company..most are.) but...maybe a guy just wants something a little different (state-side) and something that pops a little more, but has a crappy imagination.

^Completely understandable, and I wasn't necessarily "calling out" the OP here.

It's just been a trend here recently, and it's a bit annoying. There seems to be a lack of originality in the car world lately. Too many people want to build a car EXACTLY like the one they saw in a Japanese Magazine, Primedia Publication, Website, or video. I think it's great to draw inspiration from sources like this, but not carbon copies. Originality > All

yeah i agree with you 100% on that. perfect example...the s13.5 wouldnt be so popular if it wasnt for signal auto, lol. it used to be something different and special..now its getting to the point that i find myself scrutinizing peoples conversions because they got some cheap "kit".

but anyways..i dont wanna lead this thread anymore off topic.

If I were to go with a pink i'd do this candy fuschia color from BASF. I think it looks better than the Yashio Factory pink.

I'm sure it's harder for a lot of the people out in Cali to be original. I know there's some trend setters out there, but then you have everyone biting yo shit. That's gotta suck.

As far as painting your car a shop color, yea I don't like that. There's thousands of awesome colors out there, why paint you car a color that really doesn't have a true meaning to you and no originality?

you guys are all gay.

Thanks for your valuable input on the topic. Very much appreciated.

To rock pink, your car has to have the power to back up the "loud" paintjob. Flat pink is badass though but only if the car is not some stock pos. To respond to the op, I'm sure if you took a reputable body shop a very good picture of the color you want, you could get a very close match. Just look for a shop that has an old guy mixing the paint, they can make anything lol.

To stay ON topic, like one post said, take a good picture to the old man in the body shop. Don't underestimate the old man at the body shop, that mans an alchemist w/ paint.

Personally, I never got the whole imitating a shops "trademark" color thing either. I used to like "Project Mu Teal" so, I shopped around and found a nice metallic teal that I like better than P.Mu. Shit like that you know? I might've "bit" an idea but, I didn't blantantly bite and I molded that shit to my own liking. Maybe you could do the same?

I think yall took it the wrong way. By "eyeballin you" I meant "mad doggin" you. Giving you hard looks and shit. haha

pink isnt that bad, sure all threw CHILD hood pink is 4 girls right and in high skool some guys rocked the pink that were not gay and pulled it off really well, but! 4 a car to be pink like some one said it better have balls to back that bold color statement, so u dont get ur card pulled so much. plus some graphics to go with it would also help big time.

Your car looks fine. It's an OG pink. Not a knock-off of some shop that you have nothing to do with.

yeah, it kinda looks like the color of a white t-shirt after you accidentally put something red in the wash with it. like "oops, now it's pink..." haha ;)
