I wanted to know besides swapping bellhousings from KA & SR's, what other transmissions would be a good idea for a close ratio application ?

S15 6spd or HKS/Grex 6 speeds. Also OS Giken close ratio gear set

Thinking of using some items from BW and also possibily the gear ratio from an FC3S

nismo actually sells both a 5-speed and 6-speed with close ratio gearing. they are pretty spendy though; around $6000 for the 5 and $11000 for the 6. comes with dog engagement gears or sequential as well. so i would definitely go with the os giken close ratio rebuild kit or even the mustang cobra with bell housing adapter plate if you don't want to spend so much.

better priced than you think, but still expensive. It costs 4g...
