If someone knows please tell me.
I just want to know where is the manual off switch in a 95 240sx.
So i can get remote start for my car.
I was wondering if there's a web site that shows a diagram that shows where it is.
Also can someone tell me if its smart to get a remote starter for my car or will it effect my performance like timing. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/yin-yang.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':yingyang:'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sneaky2.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

Are remote starters difficult to install in any car? I'd love to have one in my s13, I'm tired of freezing my face off when I go to the car to get rid of the frost. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

i have remote start on my 95, why do you need to find the shut off switch? Talking about the remote starter kill? What kinda of unit is it?
Remote starts not too hard to install just a pain in the butt, and its a little different for a manual. Just make sure its never left in gear.

manual shut off switch? huh? i don't know what that is... but i do know that if you've got a 5-speed, you need to bypass your clutch safety switch. it's behind the clutch pedal- when you push in your clutch, you push the safety button. if the button isn't pushed, you can't start the car. NEVER leave it in gear... it'll just kill, but you know that isn't good for it.

thank you for your replies. I still need to know where exactly where the remote starter kill switch or manual shutoff switch is located at. Unless you guys know a web site that tells me how to install a remote starter in a 240sx. Please i need help. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

This is what you do bro. Get down on your knees, and look at your clutch pedal. On the top of the pedal there will be a plastic plug, with 2 wires coming out. All you need to do to bypass the clutch is cut them off, and splice them together. That was your car thinks that the clutch is alway in. That could lead to problems. What I would do is go out, and get a relay that will connect the wires together, and hook that up to our remote start. It is not a very hard job, just a little tricky. If you want, I can write up a though procedure to doing this, but it will depend on the type of remote start you're using.
