I've heard that 300zx igniter chips can be used if you just don't connect pins for the 5/6 cylinders. Is this true? It would be alot easier to get and cost a lot less. It's on a sr20det redtop.

Don't think so. But the Q45 chip works.

actually yes it works i currently run one in my car on my redtop... go to courtesynissan.com ... they are under the 300zx power transistor.. you have wire in the harness for that chip but it is all included from them and cost 195 bucks or so brand new... way better than 365 for the q45 new from the dealer.. i had mine shipped next day and total was like 210 or so...
