15w50 oil concerns.

.the previous owner changed the oil right before i bought the car. (redtop)
the car is a texas car so he put in mobil1 15w50 synthetic. the car is now in kansas where it gets pretty cold and there are only about 1000 miles on the oil change. ive read that i should be running 10w30 during a cold winter.
my question is what problems could arise from running 15w50 synthetic in an sr20 during winter. will it be ok or should i change it to10w30 immediately.

too thick of an oil can lead to oil starvation..
im not sure of the weather there.. but i know cold weather makes oil thicker..

its like 34 right now but sometimes it gets like 15 degrees.

I run 15w-50 in my bike

i'd change to 5w-30.
