Spun an already rattly rod bearing a while back and my car has been sitting for over a year. Looked into rebuilding my single cam, but the cost was unjustifiable imo. The rebuild kit alone was gonna cost 500 or more. I found a 95 240 motor for 650 with computer. What should I know to tell my mechanic going from one to the other? Obviously change the computer, but what about the wiring harness? That and the battery is gonna have to go on the opposite side I think. Car is an 89 hatch with manual.

Its pretty backwoods around here. He originally told me $250 in and out, that why I decided to stick with him, and he's done other work for me. I had to tell him a half dozen times last time we talked that its "not a Z car" from the 70s. Tards.

:stupid:
Ignore the "just go essar" comments, as the SR is not the be all fix-all solution to all the world's problems, there is not a blacktop waiting somewhere to cure cancer, I promise you.
This would have been covered with a search or at least clicking on the FAQ section, where the thread Howard linked was posted.
Either way, this question has been answered, so I will close this before any arguments come about.
