There's this hobby I have, where I run a search on ebay for a delorean whenever I get bored.  I'm trying to break my theory that at any given time, there is at least ONE delorean on sale on ebay.

This one's a keeper:

I love the quote on his site </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Warning: This car is very fast. Very Stylish. May attract women. We brought it to a car show and we didn't even have to ask the models to come stand by it</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Wait a minute, isn't the DeLorean made of stainless steel?

Yeah, the out body panels were all solid stainless steel. &nbsp; I worked at a dealership and my boss was a huge fan of Delorean. &nbsp;One day he bought a 1982 with 2500 original miles, 5 speed, and original tires! &nbsp;Interior was mint, but the body needed polishing. &nbsp;I did most of the detail work, including the polishing (I can now say i'm a Delorean polishing expert!<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp;They're slow, unreliable, uncomfortable, and have poor visibility, but other than that, I like 'em!

I had never seen a DeLorean before this last weekend when I saw two of them when I went home to Indy. &nbsp;I don't like the black really, I would prefer stainless. &nbsp;I also find it kinda strange that they would put a wankel motor in it. &nbsp;I think the stock DMC V6 can be equipped with an FMIC and TT's anyway..

Unfortunately the Delorean is really doggish, in other words no twin turbos. My buddy got one when he was 16. His grandfather left every person in his family 150,000 dollars and he buys a delorean.....there were 2 made that were gold instead of silver. This guy did a good thing by dropping in the cosmo 3 rotor. At around 300 horses this thing is no joke. Just wonder why he put it in a Delorean...a 3 Rotor Ford Festiva would really turn my head.

All it needs is a flux capacitor. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'>

What the heck is "Theoretical top speed: 164mph"......is that how high the speedo goes?

Fast and the Furious 2 should buy that thing....maybe they can even write some lines into the script and use the word "Wankel"!!! &nbsp;

No, theoretical top speed takes into account gearing, final drive and wheel/tire diameter.
If you didn't know (which I think you do but are just being silly) though, "wankel" is synonymous with "rotary"... i.e. engines that put our pissed-on engines to shame. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sly.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':sly:'>
