when was the last time they were changed?
cracked? dry, any noticable/questionable things with them?
have you ever changed belts?
they are not expensive to replace, get it over with rather then get stranded and stuck paying a mechanic to do it for you!
i have never changed mine, doing it this weekend actually

FSMs give no directions pertaining to installation and removal of belts, believe it or not. Either that or i'm not looking close enough.
I've never done belts on 240s, but in general, you gotta find the adjusting bolt (14mm on Nissans), loosen it, slip the belt off, slip the new one on (make sure you route it right by the idler and your other pulleys) and tighten the adjusting bolt back down. You know it's tense when the belt does not move more then 1/8 of an inch over a 7" area when you press down on it with your finger.
I'm trying to figure out how to take the 240 fan belt off. The one thing that makes sense to me right now is to slip the pulley off and work that way. Let me know how things work out for you. Or if you need any further instructions, feel free to email me. I'll try and do mine asap and i'll take some pics and put them up.

When I got my oil changed over the weekend, they recommended that I change all three of my belts because they said they were cracking...When I got it home I checked them out and none were cracking... I might as well do it anyway though because I don't know when they were last changed. What is the third belt though, I know of the A/C belt, the Fan belt, but whats the other one?

S13Grl, you got it right. You have to remove the pulley nuts but you don't have to remove the whole pulley. The fan separates from the pulley and just move it towards the radiator leaving enough space to get the belt in there.
thelinja, the third belt is for the alternator. Powersteering and the fan belt run off the same belt and the A/C has it's own belt.
