Ok..so my Motor arrived today (actually yesterday) took 2 days from Canada - JSA Motors has been excellent so far though didn't email tracking like they said - but who needs it when the motor arrives in 2 days after ordering.Motor Looks Excellent and Very, very clean. Also came w/ some stuff I'm Questionable about.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v703/Mrfairlady/02-14-08_1707.jpgWas wrapped up Nicely but Removed it to take pressure off Fan blades.

heres some Pics that i have some questions about:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v703/Mrfairlady/02-14-08_1721.jpgMine came w/ Both engine Relay boxes (1 busted up) and a Shit ton of wiring from some of it...has headlight Plugs (for Silvia lighting) etc etc.I don't technically need these things correct??

here is the whole harness that I unplugged from the rest of the motor (that connects to relay box where battery would be.

this is a Close up of the Good/other end of that harness that has 3 plugs and a VERY FUNKY inline something (looks like 2 AA Batteries kind of) pictured @ the bottom left of that pic.:

Mine also came w/ the Positive and neg terminals w/ some funky plugs I'm not sure what they are.Looks like 2 single Male ends of a Plug or something...I'll get a better pic of that up soon.

**I ALSO do not see any factory(hard lines) oil, coolant lines for the turbo...is that normal???

**Ignitor also has pink writing on it that says S14? Is it the same or send that back??

otherwise motor looks great..even had an OEM Filter on it.Will tear it down somewhat as the week goes on.

Leakdown test was done just a peice of mind and will be re-done once installed and Runs for the 1st time in who knows how long.
3 of 4 cy'sl read @ like only 8% loss...or so it seemed.Back Cly near rear of motor read @ like 60%...but could be for Numorus reasons??Who knows?Should i worry??

thanks for your input.

well the extra harnesses and fuse boxes you dont need. All u need is the upper harness from the sr and the lower harness of a ka. Also u need ur upper harness serviced by either urself or profesionals. The oil and coolant lines are behind the turbo manifold. There is also a waterline to the turbo behind the engine. 60% is actually pretty bad on the last cylinder. Look into it.

Whats the compression on the cylinders? Close to 150 psi and all within 20 psi of each other is still acceptable. So if you get 145 155 160 and 165...think thats still okay, atleast to me. 120 150 155 140, somethings wrong...

Pop the valvecover and check the head for condition...

those plugs on your harness are just service plugs (one is like tach, temp, and something else), you can cut them off or just leave them. the gray/brown plug is where you do your wiring (chop off the plug from the KA and match them to the sr20 harness end) Same goes for the interior plug. all colors match.
the whole upper harness plugs into your KA fuse box. the chassis harness that came with your motor is not needed.

all sr20 ignitors are the same (s13-s15)

get rid of that AIV valve that's on top of the exhaust manifold cover.

cool...this has helped - the 60% on 1 cyl is saying something to me and the tech thats helping me that Its possibly because the motor hasn't run in WHo knows how long - It should obviously be done at operating temp and w/o that,..the readings will always be Strange.
I need to call them on the compression #'s that they got. They never told me what they were but when I ordered it that said "were gonna get it cleaned up and compression tested" then we'll ship it out.

I'm leaning towards replacing the hard lines but my budget has been cut down a bit w/ me Getting married:axe: so we'll see where I need to go there.
Gonna get my gaskets replaced and check under the valve cover when I have some more time.Through the Oil Spout Its looks Uber Clean though.Which dosen't say much - You can @least tell if its gelled (lexus term) or semi Sludged up.
Thanks for everyones help.I will hopefully get started on the install soon and hope for the best.ALl in all the motor "looks" great to me a ALL the techs @ my shop seeing it,..but everyone knows you can wrap a Turd in a Solid Gold Box but its still a turd on the inside.
