Anybody have any first hand experience with the cheap cast aluminum intake manifolds on ebay?

The casting doesnt look too great but overall it looks pretty decent.

thats like the classic freddy intake manifold.

i hear it works for what you pay.

But in modified back in 06 they did a write up on counterfit parts on ebay and when they compared the two they concluded that the casting was real shitty, there was loose aluminum from the shotty casting coming off on the inside corners of the oil pans and the intake manifolds.

thats from memory ill check the mag later.

and you need to search a little bit before you go makin threads..

Yeah, I think someone said it was alright after he cleaned up the inside with a dremel.

Don't go too crazy on the "porting" though. You might end up taking up too much off = crrrack!

I got one

I know 2 people that got them and run them, nothing bad.

I figured, why the hell not. After getting one, I would probably have gotten something else or stayed stock, casting looks like shit, blah blah blah.

Whatever, you get what you pay for.
