I dont know if you are willing to drive up to northern VA but Japanese Engine Imports has a lot of JDM Nissan motors. If willing you can pick it up today, they close at 7.
Phone number is 7036680666. Ask for Phil, I like to deal with him better.

Well that sounds good..not really looking to drive to get it but hey..its close.
I just wanna hopefully find a Good/decent condition SR swap thats in Stock and ready to ship out to me.and a few poeple to hopefully Chime in on the same place.
Like..I know Heavy Throttle is like 1 of the best but they are asking a GRIP more than anyone else + I'm willing to swap out a bunch of parts ALREADY..and I know you pay for what you get..but How much diff could it be than say jarco,Jhot type places that are of the same calibur.

yep..they are great but I need it on the way like today..so I can get started on it this week swapping parts.
they don't have any instock @ the moment I believe right?
Enjuku racing out of Florida I've heard is very good. They aren't the cheapest, but then again when you're swapping something as important as your engine you want quality over economy. If someone knows anyone that offers the type of quality they do for cheaper, go with them.

Im not sure what they have in stock now. i know they were either supposed to get a crate in soon or just got one. if they dont have it a place called NS performance in Spartanburg might. they have helped me in the past. there website is nsperformance.net and davids number is on the site they should be able to help you out.

ive heard only good things about jarco inc
ive heard some bad stories about jazzpro....about people getting damamged motors, parts missing or the wrong motor all together and then having jazzpro be uncooperative with replacing things
someone on here also bought an sr from Enjuku that was totally messed up...theres a thread somewhere on it

If you cant wait, youre seriously better off driving to pick it up yourself. Usually thats a better way to deal with an SR swap. If you can drive there, you can more than likely pick the engine yourself and see the condition first hand. Give you the chance to compression check it and nit-pick the fuck out of it.

NOYANUSA.COM. When I was first searching for a motor everyone told me to go to NOYAN. Every thread I read about them was always good. The motor I got started up right way. He's a cool guy too. The long block I got had a broken CAS and he just gave me another one. Instead if a 30 day startup warranty that most people have, he includes internals. Motor was clean as hell. My boy got a motor from them that had some issues and noyan gave him a new motor with no BS and run around. I stand by his service and products.

Located in Can.
redtop=$1495+shipping
Mine was ~$1900xx after shipping
Only things wrong were a cracked clutch fan and a slightly dented oil pan. No biggie.
Clean, full swap. No issues
Looked liked it had come out of a practically new car. Had ~48k miles when I got it

It's in the premie section. Only thing I learned from that thread was, well...DO NOT BUY AN ENJUKU MOTOR. Definitely.
SR motors aren't in production anymore, yet people are still buying them used in scores over here in the US, so common sense would dictate that the supply of good motors in Japanese junkyards is getting more and more scarce all the time, plain and simple. So your chances of getting a piece of shit are a lot greater now than they used to be. Hence, go pick it up yourself if you possibly can so you can check it out first.
That said, the SR in my car is apparently from Noyan. I bought it swapped so I don't know for sure, but it looks super clean. And it runs fantastic.

Enjuku is expensive but they give you a good running motor guaranteed. they do take longer but Id rather wait for a good motor than one that might blow up a week later.

but if it was only one motor out of all the ones they sell thats still pretty good odds some shops turn out 1 shit motor for every two sold. but your absolutley right your chances of getting a good one now a days are slim.

The guy in the premie section got a shit motor. He complained, went through a bunch of shit, and finally Enjuku sent him another shit motor.
Maybe the 3rd one would have been better?

well if they back their shit you godda hand it to em, almost all the shops nowa days sell you one motor, if its good, cool... If its fucked... your shit outa luck, you know what i mean? So id rather spend the extra $700 bucks for the wuarantee, witch is hard to get from a shop that sells motors "not legal in the U.S." as said by every asshole cop in the country.

Well if they did what they said they would do, then the guy wouldn't have the problems in the first place. The first motor had a 65% leak in cylinder 3 when he did is own leakdown test. I would call that company a bunch of filthy, no good liars.
First motor was crap and then the second motor was crap. How much crap to you need before you realize the company is a pile of shit?
DON'T BUY SHIT FROM ENJUKU

well..After seeing a couple posts about JSA motors..It seems they have a pretty good thing going up there.Very professional so far.I ordered one from them.Guy on Freshalloy just got one and It was in Pretty good shape (hes replacing things as I am) so w/ all the feedback I read on them...oh well...we'll see.Of course they have a warranty as well - seems everyone does now-a-days.
I'm replacing alot of things on the motor anyway so hopefully any issues w/ the motor will get replaced w/ the parts I'm putting in it.My Biggest Concern is a Gridning Transmission.:crosses fingers::confused:
thanks for everyones help.

If you want to swap out parts before the install, why not go with Heavy Throttle. Their istall kit builder gives you tons of aftermarket options, thats why they cost a bit more skrill than other places. But honestly, you can't compare Heavy Throttle to places like JHot or Jazzpro. Heavy Throttle has been doin' complete SR swaps on the east coast for over 10 years, they know their shit.
Plus when it comes to getting something like an engine, I'm not lookin' to cut any corners...:nono:

that's where i got my front clip. i got everything with my clip except the ignitor. only advice i have for you is to get everything that is included with the engine in writing. so if something is missing, they HAVE to give it to you.
but yeah, i don't see why you wouldn't take a trip to NJ to hit them up, instead of shipping from canada.

jarco buys running cars and then cuts them themselves. to me that matters, i drove to ATL had them crank the engine in the clip and let me hear it before i bought it. never opened it up, then again i have never needed to

Holy Jebus...back from the dead.
who the hell resurected this.
well,...Just so ya know..went w/ JSA motors in Canada and got a Prestine Redtop that is Perfect.
Shipment got to me in 2 days and I couldn't be happier.
$2200 shipped for redtop that was cleaner than any engine I've ever seen..inside and out.
ive purchased a few fron NAD in Atlanta and they are very nice. they will swap out any bad part. they will test start the motor infront of you, check compression, check for knocking and deliver free of charge (probably local only.) the price is a lil bit higher but you get to pick the motor you like and test it prior to purchasing it. $2200

I just bought a S14 SR from Jhot and the motor is in amazing condition. It came with the MAF, igniter, 3" down pipe, fuel pump, full wiring harness (including fuse box and everything), HKS filter, VIN plate, and SMIC with piping. I paid just under 2200 shipped. I should have it in my car in a little less then a month, so I can follow up. I went with JHot because their prices are amazing, they own their own salvage yard in Japan as well as their own shipping company from Japan to the US (which is why they have such cheap prices). My friend had also bought 2 motors from them and they were both in great condition and one of the swaps he did is still running perfect today (as of 2 years ago) he doesn't know who has the other swap so I can't say anything about that one.

Heavy Throttle. Its just run by Jeff now, so quality control is really good. I got my SR from him and never regreted it. He's helped me out numerous times without hesitation or arguement.
I had.
-stock clutch with the original part number on the organic part (usually burned off in around 5k miles)
-original spark plugs from the factory.

I recommend JHOT in denton, TX.....they also have a place in GA i think
I bought a silvia front end from them and a s13 redtop which started up first try which i got for my second 240sx.
I would not get anything else from tx......jazz pro and jdm engines corp......they are crap and have bad service.
BTW i did not ship the motor......i went to the warehouse my self....and rented a U-Haul to get the parts.
